Brammo Empulse / Re: December Delivery News

Posted today on the Brammo facebook page (not on the Scuderia West page, though, for some reason):

Ain McKendrick has a big grin! — at Scuderia West

and a picture of him next to the bike in front of their Brammo-logo-painted garage door...
Hi Guys,
We will be posting more in the near future but with regards to photos we were asked to let Brammo do their thing first...
Was a ball having the honor of delivering the first one in the world!!

If this is any indication of the type of service....
We just received the new Empulse R brochures less than 24 hours after world launch!!
Never seen anything like that.. still don't have some of our other brand brochures for 2012 ::)

just a reminder to you folks waiting for Honda....
2009 Honda DN-01..msrp $15599.00
42 horsepower and 600lbs.. nicely equipped with the forks and brakes from a rebel 250.
Honda is not shy about recouping their costs when they feel like it.
Also of note.. KTM's Freeride is expected to be priced in the $13K range and that is simply a dirt bike..
BRD dirt bike $15K
Vectrix VX1 Li +  $14K

Just to keep things in perspective.
Cheers,
Don

The Empulse R looks a lot nicer than my Zero.  But on the other hand, it also is going to look a lot more attractive to the thieves of the world.  I like to park my bike in the backwoods and go hiking for hours. No one ever pays attention to my Zero and my old faded jacket and helmet strapped to the bike, but the Empulse would likely attract a lot more interest.  I think I made the right choice in buying the Zero for just getting around town. But the Empulse R sure looks like an exciting ride and it is bound to handle better at high speeds than my skittish Zero.   :)
Hi Richard,
My experience is the less common a bike is the less likely it is to get stolen.. what usually drives theft is the parts.. not going to be a big demand for used Empluse parts on Ebay for awhile... you should be safe with either brand as far a theft goes...

Brammo Empulse / Re: Empulse R and Empulse - What's the difference?
« on: May 09, 2012, 10:32:15 AM »
from what i know it's upgraded suspension, body bits and wheels.... same as RSV4R and RSV4R Factory from Aprilia except the price difference on those is about $5K...

FYI we have 4.99% for 60 months and 5.24% for 72 available from one of our local credit unions... we've already done some Enertia deals at these rates. Not as good as 0% but those rates cost the manufacturer as much as $3K to buy down..
So when you see those rates they will be on brand models that aren't moving.. not a something Brammo should have to deal with this year anyway.
Cheers,
Don
