The words:
Unplug. Turn On. Blow Minds.

For years, the phrase "electric motorcycle" really meant "battery-operated scooter." Then the Brammo Empulse arrived. Unburdened by a heavy vibrating engine, it handles better than nearly anything powered by dead dinosaurs and has a cooler soundtrack, too. The futuristic whine of its electric motor proves that Tron wasn't sci-fi; it was prescient.

Brammo Empulse, $16,995. Available at brammo.com

Wes is listed as a contributor to the list. I wonder what his input was : )

He also contributed an earlier article (http://www.gq.com/cars-gear/cars/201109/motorcycle-bikes-gear-city-commuting) on motorcycles in September 2011 including the Enertia Plus.

yeah, I saw that too...Wes sure has been a helpful "fan" for Brammo...

Brammo was smart to give him the first ride for reporters...

What I'm looking forward to is when/if he tests the 2013 Zeros.

If you recall, in his 2012 Zero DS review he had 3 big complaints:

1. Slow initial acceleration
2. Slow recharge times
3. Limited range

The 2013 Zero S:

1. Accelerates to 60 in a reported (http://electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/index.php?topic=2498.msg10635#msg10635) 5.3 seconds (probably this is ZF8.5.. FX is 3.9s)
2. Charges in an hour on CHAdeMO, if you can find a charger (even on 110v, charges approximately 60% faster than 2012)
3. Has up to 60% more highway range than the 2012 model (ZF11.4 vs ZF9, 70 miles vs 43 miles)

The 2013 Zero lineup was announced over two months ago, I haven't seen peep one from HFL or Wes about the Zero bikes. When I poked him on twitter his response was "we're busy".

*shrug*
