Convert to Belt Drive? Can it be done?

(1/1)

OliverIABF:
Hi,
I wonder if it might be possible to install a belt drive by removing the sprockets and replacing them with belt sprockets?
Any thoughts, info or insight?
This should make the bike considerably quieter, as it's the chain that makes the most noticeable noise I believe.

Hi, I spoke to a guy in Germany who modded his Enertia with a beltdrive. Some technical details: Sprockets from Zero-bike, needs to be adjusted for fitting on motorshaft and rearwheel. Rearfork, one tube needs to be cut for placing the belt, after mounting tube is replaced with clamping bushes, he added a springloaded roll for belt tension. Unfortunately i lost the contact-info of the builder.
This is all i can tell you, good luck with modding, keep us informed.

Hi Oliver,
I am in contact with the guy from Germany who converted his Enertia to a belt drive. If you write me your contact, I can pass it on to him. The entire conversion cost about 1200 Euro.
Cheers
Karel
