Haven't seen these photos pop up here, so I thought I'd do the honors.
We had a great private test at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, CA last week. With no Empulse RR, we were able to concentrate on evaluating some changes made to the Empulse TTX since the previous test at the end of December and get a little more seat time for Shelina, who will be racing the bike this season.
I could go on and on about all the things we tested and learned, but I think the real story here is that the Empulse TTX production racer is now capable of running very similar lap times to the Empulse RR when it made it's debut back at the start of 2011 as a full prototype racer. Actually, the TTX was about 9/10ths of a second faster than the best lap time on the RR's first test with Steve Atlas!
For me, this proves that Brammo has been able to translate lessons learned through racing to improve the product we now offer commercially. I know all OEMs talk about this, but few truly acheive it or have so clear an example of it working. It was a rewarding experience for me, so I thought if anyone would appreciate the milestone - it would be this group.
Here are my favorites from the test, but feel free to browse the gallery:
