Hello, I have long since gotten rid of my Brammo Enertia (regular, not plus) when it fully died and I couldn't figure out how to fix. BUT, I still have the saddlebags plus frames for mounting on an Enertia. The Saddlebags are not OEM (saddleman brand) but the rails are. I have both right and left rails and bags.

You must pick up, in either Springfield, OR or Portland, OR (depending on week).

Brammo Enertia Servicing / Dead Brammo Enertia in Springfield, OR
« on: March 15, 2021, 06:10:03 PM »
Hello, looking for help or a buyer.

I bought my 2009 Enertia several years ago (second owner). Ran it as my commuter for years. Probably has about 9,000 miles on it. I say probably because...

About a year and a half ago it stopped charging. I had had this problem before and had reached out to Brammo directly, who told me to replace a fuse under the fake "gas tank" on a wire near the on button. I ordered that special fuse on eBay it fixed it. However, after some time it stopped charging again. I replaced that fuse and nothing happened. I read around on these forums and replaced the fuse that is under the bike near the front tire (maybe ANN150?).

No dice. It won't power on, it won't charge, nothing. Tried different outlets and cords, nothing. Tried pressing that hidden button under the front panel... nothing. I was going to reach out earlier but then the pandemic hit. So at this point I don't know if it is fixable and if so how complicated.

So, I'm searching for any advice and/or open to selling it to someone who might want spare parts, etc. It's in good shape and has the Brammo luggage bars on the back along with some other nice-to-haves (LED tail/head lights, front windscreen). This is a great community and I believe one of you can help or may want the bike for yourself. Thanks

Brammo Enertia Servicing / Sprocket sizes, part numbers, replacements?
« on: September 21, 2016, 05:40:22 PM »
Hello all,

I had a nasty little nail in my rear tire and in the process of getting a new tire put on I thought about replacing the rear sprocket. Well, I've come to find out that the 64 tooth sprocket is not really a standard sprocket (at least in my research/talking to the guys at the shop).

Here's what I know - (this is for the standard Enertia) front sprocket is 13 tooth, rear is 64 tooth for a drive ratio of 4.57:1. Chain is 124 link 420 standard roller.

However, the rear sprocket has a 6 bolt pattern. I can't find a replacement sprocket that looks anything like the brammo's. I also don't know if sprockets are sized and if so how I'd match it beyond teeth. My hope is that it matches some existing bike (much like the brake pads are the same as some scooter and BMW motorcycle).

So, has anyone replaced their rear sprocket? if so, what did you use?

I'm also toying with reducing the number of teeth for reduced acceleration/higher top end and, yes, I know the speedo will be off and there may be other concerns (I use the bike to commute to work, on 35-45mph streets, and just keep with the flow of traffic). Has anyone (successfully) done this? I remember reading on here of someone who was going to try and then... nothing came of it.

Brammo Enertia / Rear brake switch
« on: September 10, 2014, 05:58:34 PM »
Hello all, I'll be getting my Brammo Enertia tonight, if all goes to plan!  In test riding it, myself and the owner realized that the brake light does not illuminate when the rear brake pedal is depressed.  I realize this is probably a switch issue and I've searched here and through the manual and can't find any information about where I should start looking to troubleshoot it.  Given that this is likely a standard part/problem, would it just be easier to take it to a motorcycle shop (I'll probably have to also have the chain replaced soon too)?  Thanks for any help you can provide!

Wanting to buy / Theft and Waiting
« on: April 27, 2011, 02:58:01 PM »
Long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been interested in motorcycles for a long time, only because of their MPGs (seriously).  For a while I had been eyeing the Ninja 250 and even took the local class to certify for my endorsement (and its still valid).  Once I heard of the Enertia, I became very interested, especially in the next generation models, + and Empulse.  I think given my current commute distance and speed needs, I'm looking at the Empulse 6.0.

Here are my two questions:

1)  I live in a high property crime area with an active motorcycle gang that steals and/or strips motorcycles.  Do you think an electric bike would be more or less susceptible to theft?  I worry that the most expensive component, the battery, is also fairly small and relatively light, compared to the rest of the bike.  Do you worry about theft with your Brammo?

2)  I have an older car and have been looking to upgrade to a Focus or Fiesta sometime in the next 2 years, when I can get a prior years model or when bugs get worked out.  I like the idea of a smaller car with good gas mileage.  I would really like to maybe keep my car and buy the much cheaper Brammo instead, but holy cow how long must I wait?  I realize I can buy the Enertia now, but why would I when there are much better models on the horizon that are only slightly more expensive?  What is Brammo's strategy here?  The reason most companies don't announce future products too far into the future is they don't want to cannibalize sales.  While the price is somewhat high, for me, it is much cheaper than any electric car and would likely work fine for my commute 6 months out of the year.  But I, like many other consumers, can only wait so long.  If I end up getting a new car, that'll eat up any money or interest in a Brammo.  I realize most people on this board are waiting for Brammo as well and I know Brammo must also seek VC funding, but in a market featuring more and more energy efficient options (either a high mpg car or something like the Volt or Leaf), every month that passes is a month Brammo gets further behind.  I want to love Brammo, as I live in their state and think their product is very cool.  But I can't wait forever.
