Good find!
I was thinking about the earlier comment/question you had about whether the USB connection on the bike is powered or not. I don't know the answer, but this morning, after riding in the 40 degree temps and freezing my fingers, I researched a bit on heated gloves and... of course most of them have to be powered off the vehicle's 12V system.
Amazing that no one has yet to come up with a basic aftermarket 12v socket for the Enertia.
I really have to give Zero credit for moving quickly into other markets. They have just signed up 9 dealers in Canada. That is half as many dealers as BMW have in that country. I hope their batteries like cold, rain and snow.
How many miles per charge do you really get? Have you ever run out? With the hills on my commute I estimate 30 miles. I regularly hit 25 miles and have yet to run out.
How fast does it really go? If i only weigh 150, will it go over 60 mph?I'm 200lbs and am carrying a full load in my backpack and I can get to 60 going up a pretty steep hill. I've had not problem getting it to 70 on the freeway the few times I've tried.
How comfortable is the ride for a decently long trip. This is a non-issue since it only has enough charge for about an hour of 35mph riding.
How visible Is it, do you worry about being run over by a truck, it seems pretty smallIt's a relatively tall bike...in some ways you're more visible than in your Golf. Like any motorcycle the biggest danger is people pulling out in front of you. Having cars lane change into you happens periodically but is pretty easy to avoid.
How bad is the milage when you take it on a 55 mile and hour road?If you're doing 55mph your range will drop a fair bit. I'd be surprised to get 20 miles.
Does is tell you your expeced range left or just have a gadge? One of the dash screens (the one I always use) indicates an estimate of remaining range.
I’m coming from never riding a motorcycle but wanting the most efficient commuting vehicle when weather is favorable. Please take a motorcycle safety course.
Quote from: HighlanderMWCLooks like hard bags on the bike...last I heard they were still working on the mounting brackets, has that changed?I was looking back at the Givi bag thread and Brian said this:QuoteWe've also designed a much more rigid mounting frame for these bags to allow you to carry more weight.
If you're interested in getting them, it sounds to me like all you have to do is order them. I'm considering it myself, given that my search for a top box with a taillight seems to come to a dead end when I add in the "affordable" element.
