Title: Brammo Hong Kong, Pushing the envelope again
Post by: Brammofan on February 27, 2013, 11:31:25 AM
I seem to recall that Brammo HK was the first to do some experimentation with different colors of the "boomerangs" on the Enertia.  Now, it looks like they are playing with seat colors:

We have wanted to do this for a long time and the Silver tan seat combination is one of my personal favorites.  This is just a rendering but we have a good friend (Jeff MacGregor), American living in Hong Kong, that is a professional designer and upholsterer.  He just last week moved back to the USA to take over his family upholstering business for marine, aircraft, automotive, and such.  He loves Brammo motorcycles and is going to build some of our custom seat designs for us.  Then we will put him and Brammo in touch.

So, real seat photos to come soon.
The first one will be this caramel seat with textures just like the Enertia Premium seat but with added ribs (I dont know the exact terminology) across the top.

that tan seat really classes the bike up.  My favorite is still the original silver with tan seat and wire rims.

I do not think I will order the chain on the left side  8), but the rear part, beneath the seat, looks pretty nice! Is it available right now?

As promised here are some photos to update those interested in the custom seat work we are exploring for the Enertia / Enertia Plus.  Not completed yet.

These two seats are similar to the Brammo Premium seat in that they incorporate multiple materials.  The top of both seats is Texuede which has a durability exceeding 100K double abrasion rubs.  The stitching is T-270 bonded nylon thread which is about double the thickness of the original stitching.  As the images show we played around with raised logos and pleats.   They are both beginning to look really great IMHO.  Ill be sure to post some better high res images when they are completed and on bikes.

Ironically we had to send our seats back to the USA (Michigan) for this work.  We spent a lot of time sourcing a good upholsterer in Hong Kong to no avail.  If you want premium quality you need to go the distance I suppose.

Looking forward to the finished product. I remember the ESX custom seats and thought they looked great.
