Title: New video from Implovator!
Post by: Brammofan on May 05, 2010, 12:40:49 PM
The guy is killing me... posting these works of art on the "other" forum.  Where is the love, man?

Lots of great information for those of us who may wish to post a ride video, so I had to write about it:

That is a seriously sweet video.  It inspired me to pick up a GoPro Hero HD camera, so hopefully you'll be seeing some similar video from me!

For those interested in making their own movies, here's a link to the camera Implovator is using:

No camera yet... looks like 2-day shipping isn't really 2 day.  >:(

Quick update - Got my camera!  Just playing around with mounting locations to minimize vibration and wind noise and provide the best view of the bike and road.  I didn't get the chest harness that Implovator used, but that's looking like a pretty good option all things considered.  I'll get some videos up here within the next couple of days...

Hey... can't wait to see all these (and film some, myself).  Just wanted to let y'all know that there are several options for posting videos on this forum.  You can, of course, just upload the videos to your own YouTube account and include the link -- so the format in your edit box would look like this:
[ url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt0oESo0cFs&feature=player_embedded#ws]Out riding a Brammo Enertia[/url] (except I put an space between that first bracket and "url" so that it wouldn't actually embed that video)

Another way is to upload the video to the "Member's Rides" media area on the forum, which you can find here. (http://brammoforum.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=1)

Let the uploading begin.

I tried to shoot some video the past two mornings and had a big issue with vibration.  I took an old leica tripod head I had laying around and mounted it to the triangular hole where the signals attach with rubber and metal washers and a bolt.  The camera shook a lot.  I am pretty sure it wasn't because of the brammo but rather the camera is tall and with the tripod head it stands up about 7 inches which is just asking for oscillations.

Later today I am going to try a backpack/chest mount and maybe the sweet example of the leg mount in the video.  Such a cool idea and a great angle.  So simple I am embarrassed it never crossed my mind.

Once I get the mount down I am going to move to 3D.  I have two identical HD cameras.  I have been experimenting with 3D videos.  You can find out a bunch on youtube as well as the fact youtube supports all sorts of 3D viewing options.

Awesome video btw very clean and professional.
