Brammo Enertia / Smart Active Balancer with bluetooth for Enertia
« on: January 21, 2022, 03:24:41 PM »
Hi, where are you all, it's so quiet on the forum. In my previous posts i told about my attempt to replace the orginal valence batteries by prismatic cells. I think i can say that my efforts turned out to be succesfull. Now my Enertia has a range of 50km, a few more than i expected. One problem had to be solved: during charging a few cells were lagging in picking up voltage and creating an unbalance of 400mV when fully charged. I added a 24s 4A Smart Active Balancer and that helped a lot! the whole pack is perfectly in balance (< 10mV) and this balancer is active on all levels of SOC! It can be turned ON/OFF by an app on my mobile phone and i can read all cell values on my mobile phone. Nice feature!

Brammo Enertia / flash drive reader/converter
« on: October 29, 2021, 11:23:05 AM »
i strongly recommend downloading a great logfile reader  / csv converter, follow link http://www.environ-systems.de/brammo-empulse-r.html and scroll to the last line on page 2, there you will find the link http://www.environ-systems.de/mediapool/132/1325968/data/Empulse_Log_File_Converter.zipfor downloading, you logfiles (.chg and .drv format ) will be converted to .csv format which you can open with excel or google spreadsheets. it works for Enertia-logfiles as well

Brammo Enertia / Battery ID
« on: September 23, 2020, 03:09:28 PM »
So i noticed that every valence battery has its own ID. There is a label on each battery with the IDnr. Question: what happens when you have 2 batteries with the same ID? Will ghis result in an error? Is it possible to change the ID of the battery? If yes: how to chance the ID?

Brammo Enertia / replacement for Valence u1-12xp?
« on: July 02, 2020, 09:14:19 AM »
Hi, could this be a replacement for the valence u1-12xp battery?
I found a 3.2V lifepo4 50Ah on aliexpres:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001040962981.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.77cb3c00FQ2DYH&mp=1
It has a Continious Discharge Current of 100A en Max Discharge Current of 300A. Looking at the dimensions (148x115x27mm) : four of them will fit easily in the valence battery case, so i can make a 12.8V 50Ah battery.
Wishfull thinking: should it be possible to use the existing electronics of the valence battery en the BMS of the Enerttia? A complete swap (24 x 3.2V a €25,- each) will cost me €600, that's a steal compared to 6 new LithiumWerks or other packs!

Brammo Enertia / Enertia doesn't start: controller?(solved)
« on: April 13, 2020, 01:48:11 PM »
Hi there, I'm from the Netherlands and recently I bought 3 Enertia's Basic 2012 in one buy, The bike are in a good shape, mileage of 750-1000km, they were used as a rental offroad bike in the Belgium Ardennes, after the ride the previous owner used to clean the machines with a high pressure waterjet.
No1: is charging, is running , range 25-30km, no errors or faults on screen, i'm happy.

No2: no charging, no sign of life, valence battery-modules in deep discharge, i charge them all separately with a lab netsupply on 14V 1,5A cc/cv, they charged up to 14V, after unplugging the supply 3 off them selfdischarged pretty quickly, from 14V to 4V in 2 days, the other 3 kept up longer.

No3: Initial faults; B7,B40,B55, voltage to low for onboard charger, one dead module, i swapped it with a module of no2, then the onboard charger did the job, no errors/faults on screen, although i have 5 green blinking modules and one red blinking module (the one i swapped). after charging and balancing i tried to start the bike: nothing happened! After turning the key the startup-bling is showing on the speedometer and the normal info is on screen, the click in the fusebox is there, so far so good. But when i push the grey start-button nothing happens, no next click in fusebox, no louder click off main contactor. Controller fault/error?

Note: when in charge-mode and when I push the grey startbutton and hold it for 7 sec, the balancing-info should appear on screen, but it doesnt
Please any suggestion for what can be wrong and what could be the solution for fixing this problem, thanks for your reply
