Looks like a few sun-tracking systems, a couple fixed parking canopies, and a bunch of fixed tilt ground-level systems. Should have a dozen Blink J1772 charger supplies, supposedly 120v outlets as well.

North AL gets about 4.5 hours of sun per day, averaged over the year .. probably median for the US.

I was just joshing you....I think just about everyplace should have solar...make solar cheap enough and it works everywhere...
of course I am spoiled...Albuquerque has the highest amount of sunlight for an large city in the US...

Our city sewer plant has been using solar panels to augment their power needs for several years - in spite of being shrouded in fog much of the year. Here is a photo of the plant on a clear day. Last year our local high school covered the roofs of all of its buildings with solar panels also.

Woah. That's a serious solar install. Are the horizontal surfaces (what appear to be parking canopies) also solar panels?

I don't think so. Around here you don't want any horizontal surfaces that will not be washed off by the rain or drizzle due to the local seagull population. :o
