Brammo Dealership Network News
« on: April 20, 2011, 02:36:30 PM »
Press release yesterday announced Scuderia West in San Francisco as a new dealer of Brammos and I made some comments and jumped to some conclusions about how this affected the Best Buy partnership on my blog. (See link for press release, too).

Today, Sustainable Business Oregon had this to say:
Quote
The Ashland-based maker of electric motorcycles, is diversifying beyond its partnership with Best Buy to get its products to motorcycle-riding consumers.

The company's plan is to sign on a network of dealers before the end of the year.

"We need between 50 and 100 in the U.S. to get where we want to be," said Adrian Stewart, sales and marketing director at Brammo.

He added that the network is likely to make a U-shape around the 48 contiguous United States, following population centers and the best environments for motorcycle riding.

The "diversifying beyond its partnership with Best Buy" is, I think, an understatement.

Wahoo! I think I also heard that the sooner Brammo reaches this milestone the sooner it may go to production. Cant be sure if I heard that "Straight from the horse's something or other" or not though.
