Electric Motorcycle Charging Station sign
« on: October 21, 2010, 09:40:46 AM »
I designed the sign below and am going to order some from my local print shop.  They will be printed on heavy vinyl as an 8" x 10" decal -  You can stick it directly on your wall above your electric outlet, or you can mount it on the backing of your choice for portability.  Heck, mount it on paper, laminate it, roll it up and take it with you wherever you go.  8)

Cost - $10 + $5 shipping (flat rate priority mail) = $15

If you want more than one, the shipping cost stays the same (although it might change if you want BIG quantities).

The image below is a low-res copy and, of course the final version will not have the word "DRAFT" across it.  I've seen the work of my local shop and they do a great job.

I haven't ordered them yet (the shop said a 5 day turnaround is likely) because I wanted to get an idea of how many to order.  Please let me know if you're interested and how many you might want, by replying to this post.

Just picked up the first run of these from one of Kansas City's old-school print shops.  They did a great job with them:

I'll be mailing them out soon to the people who expressed an interest in one (or more).

OR... you could buy the sign now, reserve a nice parking spot in front of an electric outlet, and show your wife how committed you are to the future purchase.  Win, win.  Am I right?  :)

Oh I'll buy one now no doubt (heck we are cleaning the garage this weekend...my honeydo project, so will have it all ready for the sign), but I want the Enertia Plus at the same time :)

Can you talk to Brammo and arrange that??

I've got mine on a temporary mounting above my outlet-of-choice:

Well the outlet is a bit high, but that outlet is right by the door from the garage into the laundry room. Figure it will be warmer than near the garage doors...hoping to keep the batteries warm as possible in the winter. And since the bike won't be leaking any oil like my 2 stroke, well I figure I can park the Brammo right by the door.

I put the vinyl on the back of a metal warning sign. Gives it a bit more "heft"

How long is the plug from the bike?

The cord is around 6', I think.  However, I keep it coiled up under the seat with only the plug sticking out.  Then, I have a short (6') extension cord that is always ready that I plug it into.

How long is the plug?

The length of your plug isn't important - it's how you use it that matters.
