Having serious issues with throttle

I've had my Enertia for a little over a month now and have only driven about 30 miles on it. Yesterday while I was in my parking garage I encountered a problem on it. I was getting ready to head out, I had the throttle at 10mph and then all of a sudden without me adjusting it, it shot up to 30mph. Even when I let go the speed kept getting higher, without thinking I pushed on the brakes and fell over to the side. The bike was laying on its side without me on it and the speed kept going up, I quickly shut the bike off.

Luckily I was in my parking garage when this happened and nobody was around. If this happened on the street it could of been fatal. The throttle on my Enertia doesn't feel like it's jammed. It moves with ease but I'm guessing something inside it might be messed up? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm not sure if I should take it out on the street until I have this problem resolved, thanks.

Call your Brammo tech immediately or Brammo directly:

Never heard of anything like this and no, don't take it out on the street until they check it out.

I have heard nothing but great things about Brammo customer service...

the downside is now I fear they will send me a bike with issues so they can visit New Mexico**...it is beautiful here in the fall and great skiing in the winter...

This is the first I heard of this. hopefully no one else had the problem.
But it's great to know that the resolution was Quick and decisive. It's comforting that they stand behind their product the way they do.
I was impressed they actually tried to reach out using the forum as well.
I can't wait to be an Empulse owner, May be for my birthday in June ;)

I haven't heard anything either.  Why so concerned?  Could have been something as simple as a sticky throttle twist grip.

Why so concerned? Well it's not like a loose mirror on the handle bar is it? Uncontrollable throttle could lead to serious injury or death. If it was a lack of lubing issue, then fine, but let us know since the problem was brought to the forum by the person who experianced it. If it was a more serious reason like a mfg. defect, then we ALL should know it was and what is being done about it.
No secrets, Toyota already played that card on the Camry brakes fiasco. >:(

I had this same exact issue yesterday. I've had my enertiia 6 months after I bought used with 1600miles and added 800 miles on daily commutes with no problems. Suddenly yesterday I had the issue of bike accelerating on its own on the street and this only happens once the bike is going 10mph or so. Absolutely no physical throttle stiction, only electrical issue. Throttle close does register zero for starting purposes. I was able to apply brakes a bring bike to stop. When bike is traveling below 10mph roughly throttle does cut back, but once it starts going above that speed it keeps going, worse when I'm going downhill. I managed to get home safely with frequent braking, which discharged battery faster. Several stops restarts did not fix the issue.  This problem came up suddenly between daily commutes, only possible reason I could think off was a mild shower or dew in San Mateo hills where I live that could have wetted the throttle on an uncovered bike, but it was nothing unusual in weather past day. Also on second screen toggle while riding, I noticed a vertical bar in power display which seems to indicate highest power reached as in cruise control.  But self acceleration goes beyond this level and sets a new high all the way to 100%

Calling brammo today to find the fix. Live just beyond range from dealer in San Francisco.
