Apple is powering their east coast datacenter with a 20 MW sun-tracking solar farm on 100 acres of land. GigaOm reports that Apple is building a second 20 MW solar farm nearby. Engadget claims (http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/16/visualized-apples-20-megawatt-solar-farm/) "initial reports indicated that ... the solar farm would still only be supplying 60 percent of the sites requirements", with the other 40% coming from (http://gigaom.com/cleantech/a-geeks-road-trip-north-carolinas-data-center-cluster/) a biogas fuel cell plant. GigaOm claims this is the world's largest privately owned solar farm.

Impressive. Here's a 5mW, 25,000 panel install atop a water reservoir in San Francisco:

I'd love to see these surrounded by Empulses at feeding time.
