Brammo News And Views / Intresting call about "My Empluse"
« on: November 08, 2012, 06:59:45 PM »
Hi guys,
thought I'd let you all know about this interesting call I got from the Brammo dealer in San Fran on Tuesday eve. Apparently I'm number 5 on the waitlist, but I happen to be the lowest number in the US...
Wish I knew this before I bought my miata...
The interesting piece is that brammo is planning something special for the first person to snap up Empulse Numero Uno!
I'm thinking factory visit, Press event or something along those lines...
so if you have a low number and have been debating between the R and the regular event, the extra money might be worth it...
Good luck to you all.
Ditti

Off Topic / Tesla Model S test ride and factory tour (video)
« on: October 10, 2011, 02:45:54 PM »
Here's a link to a story on the Tesla Model S Beta!
There are three videos.
One on the race track, although I wish they had some shots of the car driving at speed and accelerating from outside and not inside the car!
There's a video of the infotainment console and, the last one of their iPhone app!!!!
Yes, they have an iPhone app!
Come on Brammo, if they can do it so can you, albeit, their  product costs a lot more, but you guys are going to be making money off volumes, when the plus and empulse actually come out that is :P
These would be killer features, may be as a kit.
May be as an upgrade for next model year!

Hi guys, just got this email less than an hour ago. I finished the survey. This sounds like good news, so it's confirmed that the new Empulse will have the IET and that it will (hopefully) be available next year (earlier the better).
The deposit is only $1000, so that's not too shabby, it'll give them a more realistic number of who really plan to buy.
at the risk of sounding like Gavin, "Take my money and give me the damn thing already" :D

Dear -----,
I am writing to you with an update on the development of your Empulse. As I mentioned in my previous email to you, we had been testing and developing more groundbreaking technology that greatly improves performance. I am now pleased to confirm that the Empulse will indeed feature the 6 speed Integrated Electric Transmission ™ (IET) as standard equipment when it goes on sale next year.
This is a world first for production electric motorcycles and I am sure you are as excited as I am about riding the Empulse and realizing the full extent of its performance.
Pre-orders for the Empulse continue to arrive on a daily basis and next month we will be picking one lucky Brammo customer from the first 1000 to pre-order and that customer will receive their Empulse as a gift from Brammo. Yes, it could be you!
The expansion of the Brammo dealer network is gaining momentum and once your Empulse is within 90 days of production your nearest Brammo dealer will be contacting you to request a non-refundable deposit of $1000.
Finally, I would like 5 minutes of your time to take a short survey about Brammo and the upcoming Empulse. As a future Empulse owner, your opinion is vitally important to our future direction and product development.
The survey is anonymous and I will share the results with you in a future Empulse newsletter.

Thank you again for choosing Brammo and thank you in advance for helping us understand what’s important to you by completing this survey.
Sincerely,

Craig Bramscher
CEO and Founder Brammo Inc.

Brammo Enertia Plus / Enertia Plus in June????
« on: May 09, 2011, 01:36:14 AM »
Here's an excerpt from Brammo's Facebook page.
Yesterday = Saturday...
Interesting so looks like the Enertia plus is going to make it for 2011 after all, which also means, single speed only for now...
But I may be tempted to get this for now, till the new empulse comes our and then use the 2500 credit from brammo and the tax credit i may have a chance of getting this year and not next...
thoughts?

Cameron Clavin
when it the Enertia plus coming out?

This just in on Wired.com.
For those of you who don't know, PlugShare is a nifty app which lets it's users share their plug points with others in the EV community.
The app shows the kind of power points available around you on a map and you can get in touch with the people sharing them to set up a time to use them.
It's a novel idea, lets see where it goes...
Personally, I think starbucks, or grocery stations should start putting out charging stations outside their premises...
In a few years (one can hope), it's going to be like the WiFi revolution, where mom and pop stores were offering free WiFi to get customers to come in...

Welcome Forum / Hi from Scottsdale, AZ
« on: March 16, 2011, 05:07:16 PM »
Hi Everyone,
I sort of stumbled on this forum looking for updates on the Empulse.
I guess I was one of the first to Pre-order the Empulse [Order No-20100715007 (placed on July 15, 2010)], It's nice to see that they're close to those magical four digits.
I've been going back and forth between the Ducati monster 696 and the Empulse for the last few months, but I think today I feel like I'm going to wait it out till my Empulse rolls off the production lines (hopefully sooner than later)...
I was in the Bay-area when I ordered it, and am now by Phoenix, so this forum has been a treasure-trove of information, especially battery and performance concerns, considering the extreme temperatures in these parts...
Jason's spreadsheet on Brammo Enertia efficiency was an amazing find, got me thinking about making an iphone app to track usage...I'll think about that when I have more free time and if there's demand ;)
I look forward to asking a lot of questions...
Dittiman
