Well I had just under 4K on my impulse before it started leaking. Make sure that the person bought the extended warranty because the replacement is 3k.  I was able to get another 16k miles before the battery went out.

Yes I’m getting the ftr1200.  But I have to pay the difference for the s. But they will be paying for the tax and registering.  I rode the bike for a year an a half 20k miles.

Brammo Empulse / Polaris buying Empulse back
« on: October 05, 2019, 11:24:10 PM »
Has anyone had Polaris wanting to buy your Empulse back? The battery has gone bad and the dealer said that it would cost 11k.  Good thing I bought the extended warranty.

Well I had oil leaking from my bike too, It turned out the the manufacturer installed an o-ring around the stator wires coming out of the motor. Instead of a Gromit  with each wire individually separated from each other as it leaves the engine case.  Polaris chose to replace the motor than to fix the problem. If you could maybe seal the wires it could stop the leaking or constantly add oil to the transmission as you continue to ride.

My bike just got an error code of B40 and it won’t start. It’s at the shops now. So what you said that the dealer had to replace one of the bikes battery to fix the problem? Wow that would be an expensive fix if I didn’t have a warranty.

Brammo Empulse / Tach not working
« on: March 16, 2019, 03:03:32 PM »
Has anyone had the tach become frozen while ridding?  I stoped the bike and it didn't reset to zero.  The next day the tach reset to zero but it took longer than normal before I could start ridding.  Is there a problem with the computer or the tach?   Thanks
