I found info on how to fix the real time clock issue last year, I may or may not tackle that one.  The clock being off doesn't really bother me.

Thanks for that.  I had done it previously and couldn't seem to find the info for some reason.

Thank you for your fast answers!
All posts are done from the same PC. Sometimes it works, sometime it doesn`t.

The "low battery" appears above 20% during acceleration or fast speed for long time.
The batteries always chargel to 100% (from 0% within 3,5h which is OK at 220V)
I couldn`t find the software to open the files on the USB stick.

End of Post :-)

Hi all users, this will be my first post, but I've been reading a lot since last year or so.
I bought mine on second handed with 30 000km (18 750 miles) with a B9 fault. then after a few rides the battery went from 90 to 0% and made think that the batteries were having issues. I started checking one by one and measure their capacity.
some of them are dead, without any capacity to receive or give power, and some are still working. not as fine as I would expected, but currently I 'm buying them from china and replacing the bad ones. here are my results so far, there are still a few batteries to measure their capacity, but look promissing. at least I will be able to rearrange the complete pack of bateries and make them more even.
When I was riding the bike and it sopped, I checked the dash board, and it said that some slots were almost depleated while the others were better. That's why I disassembled all slots and check one by one.

I have already 40 batteries to replace and order 10 more. I built a excel sheet to help me to rearrange the batteries so in the end every slot having the same capacity as all (balancing the complete package  7x4=28 slots)

How do you access the info screen you have in one of your pics?

How do you get to the info screen on the Empulse that gives a H (high) and L (low) voltage, SOC and Voltage?  I just found where someone accessed it online

Welcome Forum / Empulse R owner from Arizona

Hello, Emp R owner from AZ.  I've had this bike since 2016 and love it.  Nice to see the forum has sort of picked up again and the newer look is cool.  I joined around 2016 I think.
Anyway, looking forward to getting a lot of info here and hopefully providing some if I can and meeting all you cool folks.   8)

Brammo Empulse / Brammo Empulse owner since 2016, hello and a problem : )
« on: December 01, 2023, 04:35:48 AM »
Hello all, glad to see the forum has picked up a bit.  It was fairly dormant for a number of years.  I wanted to say hello and also highlight a problem I started having with this bike.

I own a 2013 R, approx. 4,600 miles, runs and rides and I absolutely love it.  I'm an EV enthusiast, (have owned 6) and am currently on my second full size vehicle conversion. I have done very little to this bike but I know I will have to in the future when the batteries start to degrade or other components start to fail.

Here's the problem that started last summer.  I do the normal start procedure.  Key on, handlebar switch on, kickstand up, then I press the start button and I hear a click and the green lights on top of the gauge cluster are scrolling as normal.  Whether in gear or neutral, I roll the throttle back and ........ nothing happens, complete silence.  It may be 2 seconds and other times I've waited hours and days before the motor will finally engage as normal.  I don't leave the bike on, I just try it every so often.  Has anyone seen or experienced this condition?

With that said, thank you in advance for any info.

Brammo Empulse / Re: Alternative batteries for Empulse
« on: December 01, 2023, 03:15:51 AM »
Hello. I installed 93AH 3.7V prismatic cells in mine and it works better than the original ones. I also removed the original bms (the seven slaves plus the master). The latter is very laborious but it is worth it since you can control the Bluetooth battery from your mobile. You have to modify the configuration and wiring of the Sevcom so that both the FS1 and the seat switch, among others, directly bypass the VCU. I even took the opportunity to put it in reverse gear since it is configured in the Sevcom.

You're my new best friend.  I'm interested in doing this same thing possibly in the future.  Bike currently runs with a glitch every once in a while.

Brammo Empulse / System Fault V78
« on: September 15, 2021, 02:04:14 PM »
Hello all.  Haven't been on here in a while.  Soooo since Brammo and Victory no longer exist is there anyone that knows how to tap into the electronics
and do programming, clearing codes, etc?  I know that the factory of course was able to so I'm thinking that there are peeps out there that have the 411.

This is basically the start of my research to see what people have been able to do without BramVictory.  I plan to keep this bike for a long time and would love to be able to
"get into the guts" and be able to properly service it both electrically and mechnically.

Oh yeah, I have a V78 code (real time clock not working).  Not too worried about a clock but would love to be able to clear it.  I haven't tried anything yet.  If there's a way to get into
some type of user programming send that data, I really don't know much yet.  Thanks in advance.

Welcome Forum / Re: New owner in the Netherland

Congrats.  I bought mine in Sep '16.  I absolutely love this bike.  When and if the batteries have to be replaced I'll upgrade it to have a longer range.  I'd gladly buy a second one and may do just that in the future when prices come down.   I'm probably going to buy an Enertia for my wife.

I may have to do something similar for the tail light as well.  I don't want lights on when I'm charging.  Personal thing.

It does prevent some EV truck smashing into your Brammo on a dark parking lot.

Lol, that's funny although I don't guess you were kidding.  I unplugged the parking light so it doesn't come on during charging or well at all.  I installed a switch at the rear of the bike to turn off the license plate and tail light during charging.

Brammo Empulse / Empulse R replacement key blanks
« on: October 10, 2016, 05:41:56 AM »
Has anyone been able to get new key blanks for their Empulse?  If so, what is the make and blank part #?
The keys I have are sidewinder high security made by Zadi.  It looks close to one used on some Ducati bikes.
Part # ZD30T5-SI.  I have a friend with a sidewinder key cutter so once I find the blanks
all should be good.  Anyway, I'll keep searching.  For info I have a 2013 Emp R.

Speaking of windscreens, I found one of the Victory one's for the Empulse on ebay for $25. Came without brackets so once I fabricate some I'll be good.
