Who do you all have your insurance through to insure your Brammo Empulse? I have all of my stuff through State Farm and it's taking a while for them to get back with me on the underwriting to getting this insured.
If they drag their feet much longer I'll have to find a plan B insurer. I've heard good things about rider.com

I use Allstate. For my 2010 Brammo Enertia, the premium is $118.

That's weird. I have State Farm and had no issues getting insurance. I just called, gave them a VIN, and had a policy 15 minutes later.

Yeah...I wonder if it's my agent's office. This hasn't been the first time I've had issues with them on things.
rider.com doesn't do electric bikes right now which is too bad, I was hoping to try them as I've heard great things.
Progressive fixed me up over the phone, pretty easy. I was going to try All State next if Progressive wasn't going to work out. I'll see if State Farm ever comes back with something.

I have progressive and they've been great.

Yeah I also have State Farm and other than my agent laughing that their computer system demanded a number of cc's in a form field, I had no difficulties at all.
I told them to give me the full-boat comprehensive bend-me-over everything policy and it worked out to something like $35-$40 a month I think.

I just insured my 2014 Zero though Progressive for $250K/$500K liability-only for a premium of $43 a year. :)

State Farm here too and it took all of 30 seconds on hold for them to call their underwriting department to get the number to enter in the CCs field, and this was a year ago. And it was a very specific number, not a ballpark guess. Sounds like it's time to get a new agent...

Hey folks, guess I'll revive an old thread. Just went through some insurance shopping for my Empulse R, it was an interesting experience. Our everything insurance is with Nationwide, so naturally I got their quote first (dialing the national number) and it was a huge pain, they didn't have Brammo in the system and basically had no clue. Ended up asking me what the MSRP was (tricky question for the bike for a variety of reasons). Called around and quoted out a few websites and Progressive was the best rate at $700 full coverage ($500 collision, $1,000 comp). Then today I get a call from our local Nationwide agent. Basically he told me I should never call the National number, they don't have access to the resources he has (or the incentive to build our business I'm sure). Anyway, he quotes me $260 ($500 deductible for comp and collision). I do a happy dance and sign up before he changes his mind. Just another data point I suppose.

My added ICE 250cc Dual Sport, has a $8/yr premium. but qualified me for a multi vehicle discount of $21 with Progressive insurance, so they sent me a refund check for $13. My 650cc Honda costs 5.5X times the premium of the Brammo 2014 Empulse (300cc). When they asked engine size, I told them while both are similar in power, if measured by actual size, the smaller e-bike motor looks no larger than 300cc. Engine size makes a huge difference on premiums =Þ

Progressive, I had no issue that I recall.
