Title: HadesOmega Spec Empulse TT Suspension Tune + Weights VLOGs
Post by: HadesOmega on October 04, 2018, 05:53:31 AM
So I finally got around to taking the Empulse TT down to Evolution Motorcycles in Santa Clara to have the suspension tuned.  Wow what a difference setting up the suspension properly makes, it's like another bike now!

Before that I managed to get some scales finally and weigh my bike.

The stock suspension is very harsh. Good for the track and that's about it.

I had Empulse R revalved by SuperPlush suspension in San Francisco. They found a very thick washer in the stack that they said is not usually seen except in machines set up for off road duty. They replaced that washer with a thinner (more compliant) one and adjusted other washers as well.

I had them revalve it again a few months later and now it's a lot more forgiving on the potholes. Not anything like my R1200R with Wilburs, but lots better.

I agree with the potholes, the Empulse was great to ride in SF because it goes up and down the hills with ease but the nasty potholes made it a spine jarring experience O_o'
