Setting the clock, "basic setup operations"
« on: August 07, 2010, 03:46:05 PM »
Page 25 of V1.1 of the manual states how to initiate setup mode, i.e. to set the clock.

When I do this, I get to the clock set mode.  I can change the hour by pressed the ODO button.  However, subsequent pressing of the MODE button doesn't do anything.  It appears that I can only change the hour, and not the minutes, nor can I set up anything else.  Pressing the tank button does nothing as well.

What am I doing wrong?  Am I a dumb-ass or what???  This shouldn't be that hard.

I believe I have version 1.36 of the firmware.

Thanks, Steve

Steve:
Complex question. Are you a dumbass? Not enough data.
Can you set anything other than "hours" in setup mode? Not yet.
I know, I don't understand either. The only user configurable variable right now, is "hours."

Hah, set myself up for that one.  I'll try not to say anything stupid... ever!

Really, this clock thing wouldn't bug me so much if it weren't displayed on the console.  If you're going to display something, it might as well be correct, no?

Are the minutes off?  My minutes were fine, and all that was required was for me to set up my correct hour for my timezone.

The minutes are off by about 5 minutes.  I'm sure this will continue to drift over time- we really should be able to set the time (fully) and the date (displayed in the secret charge mode screen).

That would eventually drive me crazy.
There seem to be several questions that have arisen on the forum that would be nice to have answered.  Unfortunately, they seem kind of scattered about.

Anyone interested in taking on this project?  It would involve searching the forums for those questions and putting them on one new post, titled something like, "Hey Brammo - Answers requested".

Not a secret charging mode, a secret charging mode SCREEN.  Check out the wiki.
