Victory Empulse / Empulse TT System Fault S231
« on: July 11, 2022, 10:46:16 PM »
I've been throwing a System Fault code S231 lately.  Always associated with higher throttle input.  Can't find the code meaning anywhere.  Anyone have some clues ????

I bought my Victory Empulse TT new in 2016 from Spirit Motorcycles in San Jose.  As of today, my Empulse TT has 6,263 miles on her clock.  Other than tires, a few accessories and routine maintenance everything is original.  She has never been in the rain or washed with a hose.  Still looks showroom new.   I keep her on a maintenance charge of 50 to 60% and charge to 100% just before my rides.  I only ride in the hills and push the little beast fairly well.  I have had a few fault codes over the years, but never anything that didn't disappear.  Continues to charge to 100% and absolutely no problems to speak of to date.  I guess I'm a lucky guy....  Hope there are more of you out there....

Victory Empulse / Empulse TT Extended Warranty
« on: December 04, 2019, 06:05:02 PM »
The warranty on my 2016 Empulse TT is just about ready to lapse.  I have had no problems with my TT, but I have read about those who have.  I don't usually purchase extended warranties, but thought it might be appropriate with the Empulse TT.  So I checked with my trusty neighborhood Indian dealership and they did some research with the mother ship.

You can currently purchase:  3 years for $800, 4 years for $1000 or 5 years for $1200.  AND yes these are additional years that start when your existing warranty runs out (full coverage/parts and labor).  The only catch is you still have to be in warranty when you purchase, if you warranty has expired you are out of luck.  This warranty is also transferable if you sell.  I really like this bike and plan on keeping it.  I opted for the 3 year plan--feel better already....

Victory Empulse / Empulse TT Replacement Parts....
« on: December 05, 2017, 11:33:20 AM »
I had a little mishap on my Empulse TT.  Took out the clutch lever, shift lever, shift lever bushing, shift lever rubber and a mirror.  What an opportunity to see if parts are really going to be available, hey?  I ordered the parts from Parts Pit Stop (an OEM dealer with a very user friendly web site that caters to Polaris and others).  I used them because they have a very good reputation on the Victory Owners Group forum.  Their prices are also significantly lower than Victory direct (don't know how they do that).  The parts were drop shipped from Polaris and I had everything within a few days.  Maybe life is not so bad....

Is it best for battery life to charge with 110 volts?  Should you charge to 100% after every ride?  Is it good to take the battery down to low occasionally?  Any helpful hints?  I want to do what I can to keep my Empulse alive and well....
