Title: Hello from Minnesota
Post by: BR3TTS_DMZ on August 05, 2018, 10:00:59 PM
Hello,
Trying to find Synthetic 10w-30 API GL-1 Motorcycle Oil (wet clutch approved) for a 2017 Empulse TT.  Can anyone recommend something?  I am worried the 4 stroke wet clutch is GL-4.  I am currently using Honda HP4S 10w-30 SJ.  I am hoping to squeeze extra performance by keeping the transmission fluid pristine.

Thanks,
Brett

Amsoil Synthetic Metric Motorcycle Oil 10w30 meets or exceeds all of the 2016 Empulse TT transmission requirements.  It is also the product that was recommended in the Brammo manual before Polaris took over.  This is what most guys are using.  You can check out all of the specs on the Amsoil website.

I have used the Amsoil and I have Lucas 10w-30.  You can get Lucas 10w-30 from O' reilys.

Back when Scuderia of San Francisco was a Brammo dealer, they recommended Motorex 10W30 Gear Oil and I've used it through 14 oil changes and everything still works well.

hmm interesting Motorex gear oil, specially formulated for gear boxes which is essentially what the Empulse has.
