Title: What is the ideal SOC for long-term (winter) storage?
Post by: sunchaser on April 12, 2020, 09:08:21 AM
I've had the Enertia in climate-controlled storage over the winter months and was wondering what the ideal state of charge should be for long-term storage.  I believe that the manual states that the batteries should be fully charged prior to storage, but from what I remember, other sources on the net recommended a 40% - 60% SoC for storage.  I've also read here on this forum and elsewhere that a 100% SoC is rarely a good idea.

Any recommendations from the experts here?

Thanks!

What I have heard from some battery manufacturers is that a 60% charge is optimum for long term lithium battery storage.
