Thunderstruck motors has some valence batteries for sale in the garage sale section, might be worth a look, I know they can't ship outside of the US so that may be a problem, I'm not affiliated with them but I have bought from them and they are awesome to deal with

Bikes For Sale Or Auction / Valence batteries for sale

First off I am not associated with the sellers, I just noticed these and thought brammo owners may be interested, thunderstruck motors has valence 12v cells for sale in the garage sale section of the website, I believe these were used in the enertia, maybe someone with better knowledge can confirm

Brammo Empulse / Re: B55 Error, SOC Mismatch >30%
« on: November 05, 2017, 07:36:14 AM »
This is just speculation, I have a 2013 zero and the cells used were the farasis 25 ah, brammo was apparently using the exact same cells, my battery was recalled and replaced under warranty due to manufacturing deficiencies , could it be that some brammos have the same batches of batteries zero received but since they have abandoned their bikes they haven’t bothered with trying to rectify the situation?

Welcome Forum / Re: Hello from Ontario

Beeks8, nice to see a fellow Canuck (I'm in Peterborough ont) on the forum, I have often thought about trading my zero for the empulse especially with the price they were selling them for,  as for the range I think the best way to look at it is that when you go low and slow (60-80) you get 1.5 km per percent anything around 100 you should get about 1km per percent, this is gathered from riding with the salesman on several "test drives "

Brammo Empulse / Re: Clutch Mystery
« on: April 11, 2017, 05:58:18 AM »
One possibility is that there's moisture buildup and it's made it's way to the slave cylinder, resulting in a small rust buildup causing the slave cylinder piston to stick in the cylinder, as a mechanic I see this sometimes with brake master cylinders, after a brake job the piston goes past the rust buildup causing the rubber cups to tear or score when pumped past it's normal travel resulting in a now inoperable master cylinder, explaining that to a customer is always fun, my suggestion is that you do another pressure bleed with new good quality brake fluid and just keep applying the clutch several times to flush the old fluid out, if it has torn the cups no amount of bleeding will help and you will need a slave cylinder, good luck and I hope it works out for you!

Gear or Merchandise for Sale / Diginow supercharger
« on: January 04, 2017, 04:44:46 PM »
I have a zero but I thought I would post this after reading the diginow webpage, it says that it would support the faster charging of the empulse as well, currently it charges at 3.3 kW but will soon be able to do up to 10kw if I remember correctly, http://diginow.it/super-charger-for-zero-motorcycle.php , maybe someone can get ahold of Brandon and see if it will work out

Brammo Empulse / Re: Battery drained, now not charging

I own a zero and am therefore not privy to the workings of the brammo, although I do love the bike and have test driven them, that being said can you access the controller? Using an off board charger to the controller battery contacts with the bike in the on position you may be able to bring the charge up to a point where the onboard charger can start working again, that may get you going, but if the contactor doesn't close it won't work, just a thought and best of luck

I stopped by the local victory dealer (spoiledsports in Bowmanville, Ontario,Canada) and checked out the new empulse, the mechanics have been trained but when I asked him about brammo support he said "what's brammo" I explained the situation and he said he would have to check with corporate

Brammo Empulse / Re: Variable Amp Charging?

You can also find a used volt or imiev evse, they can be turned down to deliver 6and 8 amps respectively, I bought a volt evse and can charge at 6 or 12 amps with the push of a button

Hi rickxb, which dealer has the empulse, do you know which year and whether or not it's an R, maybe worth the trip from Ontario!

In my opinion, the right thing for Polaris to have done would be to inform the current dealers that they can stay on as a Brammo dealer, with Polaris support and sell/service the brand, when you look at the Canadian dealer network for Brammo it reads like they are all small operations,no better way to kill a budding business than to yank half the carpet out, not a good sign for ev adoption, I had my fingers on the trigger for one but hung back feeling apprehensive about the lack of info from Brammo, still love the bike but can't make that commitment ,so here I sit on the sidelines waiting on Polaris
