Well that is more like it. Still a little high, but if they haven't cut the quality of the bike, likely worth it to anyone that has the cash.
current bikes: 2018 16.6 kWh Zero S, 2011 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic, 2009 BMW F650GS, 2007 BMW R1200R, 2005 Triumph T-100 Bonneville, 2002 Yamaha FZ1 and a 1978 Honda Kick 'N Go Senior.

I've ridden it twice, it's a good bike probably as good as the Zero SR/F/S models, its kinda inbetween the Zero and Energicas.  Feels pretty narrow also.  But yeah at $30k no thanks.  Least the new price is more competitive with what's out there.

Thank you for posting this.  Well worth reading.  It looks like things might be taking a turn for the worse with the Livewire.  First Harley spins it off into its own brand, and then they reduce the dealer network to only three states?  I don't get it.  Not only that, but what about the Harley dealerships that invested in charging stations etc. for the original Livewire?

I just read the Electrek article again and it looks like there might still be some hope.  Here's a quote:

"Interestingly, LiveWire is taking a different approach to sales by beginning with a largely online ordering process. The LiveWire ONE will first be available in three states of California, Texas, and New York before availability in additional dealers and states opens in the fall."

It's hard to believe that most of the legacy motorcycle manufacturers aren't taking the EV thing seriously.  I guess it's up to the startups to teach them a lesson, much like what Tesla did.
