It's on my agenda, but waiting for the weather forecast to confirm.
Can we charge at the McDonalds in Hoorn ?

Charging Enertia's at McDonalds is no problem. There are 4 charging points meant for electric bicycles. No car chargers available yet.
In the city of Hoorn there are several charging stations. If necessary you could charge there.

Antwerpen - Hoorn is a 202 km ride !

There are a few level 2 charge stations nearby too (around 1km away). It is 60 kilometer one way for me so I will add some juice at one of those. Bringing my 3kw Clippercreek might cause some problems 8). So far my bike is doing 1% per km by the way.

The link below has the route that I will take to Hoorn on Sunday. Please note that the destination is a public L2 chargepoint and not the Mac. I will charge there for a while before I head to the Mac.

I will leave Uithoorn at 10:00 and expect to be in Hoorn at 12:00.
If anyone wants to ride together let me know and we can meet somewhere along this route.

That route looks perfect for taking it slow. I hope to conserve as much juice as possible for the drive back (considering that Enertia+'s charge pretty slowly). If I keep my speed around 50 km/h I might be able to do it without charging at all (but I'm not going to try that). On my daily commute I normally get around 120 km on a full charge (but I never actually take it lower than about 20% so I don't know if range drops faster below 20%).
We'll see how it goes, I'm looking forward to it (even when it's going to be rainy today).

It was a really nice route, along the IJsselmeer dike (mostly below it so there was no way to see the water on the other side). And it was cool to meet all my fellow Dutch Brammo customers.

I managed to do the trip without charging after all, mostly because that charging point at McDonalds had almost no juice left for us. I got home with 21% SoC, and 112 km on the odometer.

Dikes and bikes! And some windmills, as requested.

Another one, looking over the dike at the IJsselmeer.

Although we all expected rain it turned out to be a great day for riding!

Nice to meet Anne and Frank and of course some photos:

Can you spot the windmill ;)

Parking for Brammo bikes only!

Charging in Hoorn, the Empulse charges super quick. 2h18m to get from 36% to 100%!

Arrived in Hoorn with 81,6 kilometers on the trip meter and used 64% charge for that.
I arrived home with 179.2 kilometers on the trip meter and used 139% charge total. (75% for the 97.6 kilometers back)

I rode back to Amsterdam together with Frank at around 60 km/h making sure he had enough juice to get home and I took a little detour because there was plenty of battery left in my bike and the weather was so nice 8).

Departure from home at 8.30. I left for Stavoren taking the shortest route, still a 50 km ride from Heerenveen. A strong headwind did drain the batteries faster than I expected, despite of my racing position (chin on the handle bar) on some occasions  8) . The batteries were on 39% when I arrived at the harbour.
I took the ferry 'Bep Glasius' to Enkhuizen - Noord Holland. Plenty time left to buy a ticket and to answer the questions of curious people. I even heard Germans among themselves: "Schau mal!"  ;D

On the ferry I tied up the rear wheel preventing any unwanted rolling. I wasn't afraid it would fall over parked on the side stand, solid as a rock.
During the trip of 80-90 minutes I charged the Enertia+ and added a 30% to the SOC.

From Enkhuizen I rode to Hoorn. I found the Empulse of Mico at the charging point Pelmolenpad in the center of Hoorn, but no Mico. I gave him a call and heared he was in the bar of hotel Petit Nord. I longed for a coffee and after a full charge of the Empulse we both went to the McDonalds. Unfortunately CBke from Antwerp had to cancel due to bad weather.
We met Frank at the charging point; he too didn't need to fill up. But I did! You could only have free charge for 1 hour, but it quited already a minute later... :(

For EV riding you need to be inventive, so Mico soon found 220-230 Volt outlet at the terrace of the Mac. Frank got his 5 meter extension cable and I could charge at a parking lot!

At 15.40 I needed to head for Enkhuizen again. I had the ferry to catch at 16.30 taking me back to Stavoren. Beautiful weather and another one and a half hour to charge on the boat.

Total travel distance was around 200 km (almost 50 km over sea). The tailwind gave me a fast ride back home. Only 17% of SOC left at the end of the day.

Nice meeting you guys face to face! Useful info and years of (electric) motorcycling experience were shared.
To be repeated.

Thanks!
