Brammo Empulse / Re: Empulse radiator replacement
« on: May 16, 2020, 07:20:32 AM »
Thank you!
I did find another site with the same info but they don't ship to the Netherlands...
But I see that your suggestion also does not ship to the Netherlands  :(

Bummer!

Brammo Empulse / Empulse radiator replacement
« on: May 16, 2020, 02:16:12 AM »
Hi all,

I damaged my radiator, it's leaking now. I brought it to a professional repair shop and they cannot repair it  :(
Does anyone here know if the radiator of another, more common, motorcycle will fit the Brammo?

Regards,
Mark (Netherlands)

Brammo Empulse Mods / Re: Not so much a mod as a question...
« on: December 15, 2014, 12:45:04 PM »
I'm interested in how they perform. Skuzzle never got back to us with the promised road test.

I installed this and had a friend follow me. It never flashed with engine braking, even 1st gear Sport mode, but came on only under heavy braking from the disc system. I became disillusioned enough to not even look in to how to adjust it. I guess I'm just overly impatient with stuff that doesn't work out of the box as advertised. (You can tell I don't work in the computer field!)

On the way home today it was dark and I could clearly see the brakelight flashing wile I backed off in second gear in Sports mode. It activated the 'first' threshold  because the light was flashing slowly.

I adjusted the system as per the instructions: move the magnet towards the modulen and as soon as the red LED comes on move the magnet away quickly.

I installed a VoloMOD today...see how that goes.
And I hope I don't annoy anyone...we are not used to flashing brakelights, I am not even sure it's legal.

I recognize the mirror problem with lane splitting. My Hypermotard has the same setup. Luckily enough the cagers can't chase you when you hit their mirror! Visibility is always good though, you never see your elbows :-)

(BTW nice piece of orange on the right side of the picture :-) )

I removed mine too, piece of cake.
I included a photo of the European front reflector. Looks like the US models have them glued to the fender.

Yeah, it's tough on these roads :P
But there can be problems ... like being stuck behind a tractor that is
just as wide as the road or having to wait for crossing cows...

First commute with the Empulse, just the interesting part of it. Small roads, some parts wet and/or dirty...

Off Topic / Fast charging in the foreseeable future?

This looks promising, provided you have chargers that can actually deliver the power.

Looks very good, Brian.

I have had my yellow Empulse R for 2 days and have received some comments about the long tail section (and the orange reflectors front and rear and the long chain adjusters but those can be fixed easily).
I looked at the Competition Werkes website but still no sign of a product for Brammo. Anyone with news on that?

Picked up the bike today. Wet roads and about 12 degrees C ... but loved every kilomoter of the trip home :D
Came home with 30% SoC. Tested the charger ..... it works ... so bike is ready for action tomorrow!
