Brammo Empulse Mods / Re: Custom Empulse Fender Eliminator

The video didn't show the turn signal while braking. Is that a function of that light.

Yes. The electronics in the pigtail that connects to the main harness alternates the red and amber when the turn signal is activated. It gives it a clean look and clear intentions to the drivers behind you.

wow $450?

Yes. This is a high quality, low volume kit. Custom fabrication and custom LED arrays are not cheap!

Could the plate mounting be angled back instead of forward?

I don't see why not. The license plate mount is a universal mount. It can be minted backwards, angle adjusted, or replaced with an alternate bracket.

Thanks!

Brammo Empulse Mods / Custom Empulse Fender Eliminator
« on: February 06, 2015, 02:33:05 PM »
A few months ago we started working on a fender eliminator kit for the Empulse but ended up shelving the project. This is a complete taillight kit with integrated turn signals. Running light and brake light are red, turn signals are amber. At this point, I figured I'd see if there was interest in these kits. Pictures of the prototype are attached and a video demonstrating is below.

Prototype is just that, so ignore the rattle can paint job. Production pieces would be powdercoated matte black. The whole install, including removal of the old tail piece takes less than ten minutes, only 5 bolts if you include the seat bolt, and requires no cutting or modification to any existing pieces. License plate bracket is included in the kit but is optional for those who prefer an alternate license plate mounting kit.

Cost of the kit is $450 and delivery would be within 4-6 weeks if I receive sufficient interest to justify production. Feel free to ask any questions on the forum.

I love riding a quiet bike, not that I haven't had plenty of loud ones, but maybe this will work for the "loud pipes save lives" crew.

Off Topic / Re: 2012 Zeros to be at EICMA
« on: November 17, 2011, 01:56:36 PM »
The organizational stability is very important (yes, I'm a Vectrix owner - been there). I was surprised that the founder/owner of Zero disappeared. It would be like Elon Musk leaving Tesla.

I don't think it is that unusual for startups to go through a bit of restructuring as they're getting the train rolling.  In fact Tesla is a prime example.  The co-founder, Martin Eberhard, who has Tesla #2, (second in line behind Elon who got Tesla #1), was given the boot a few years back as they were struggling to go into production on their roadster.

Brammo Enertia Mods / Re: Mirrors too narrow, or am I too wide?

Oooh... I like those Arrows. I really like the way they swing up for tight spaces. Too bad I'm already mirror-ed up.  What's the retail on the Arrow?

The Arrows retail for $109.95.  They really look great on the Enertia.  I'll post a pic this weekend.

Hollywood Electrics carries the full line of CRG accessories.  I'd be happy to throw in free shipping in the US for Brammo Forum members.

Have you seen their new Arrow Mirrors?  Very cool on an Enertia!
