Title: BRAMMO Decal Kits designed by Sirlin.
Post by: sirlin enterprises on November 02, 2010, 10:34:11 AM
We wanted show our BRAMMO friends a "new" product in development... the "BRAMMO Decal Kits designed by Sirlin".  We hope for the line of decals to launch in early 2011.

Cheers,

mmmm, like the tshirt. Not sure about the graphics...perhaps if they are reflective that would be good. I plan to do a black reflective tape decal on the side of my Enertia Plus.

Probably a mod circle or something similar.

Hi Josh - welcome to the forum.
Is there any way to submit designs for conversion into these wraps?  How easy are they to install?  Also, any idea about cost?

You're one of our first "merchants" on the site, so I'm not sure how we'll handle this in the future, but I think it's appropriate that you posted on the "modifications" subforum.

If any members have ideas about where merchants should post in the future, let me know.

I dig the art... Cool idea.  Seems like a great way to make my bike look more custom. How much to get a set??

Hi Brammo Fan,

We are working with Brian from Brammo... who is the director of product development; he asked me to post this on the forum to get some feedback.  The intention of this product is that its an item offered from BRAMMO and we "sirlin enterprises" is the partner/supplier.  Our intention is not to be coming in as a vender.  I appreciate your input... at this point please submit your ideas to info@sirlinenterprises.com.

Cheers,

Josh Sirlin

I like this design more than the "bend" that is posted in another thread. This one is more subtle while the bend gives the bike a bit of a toy-like appearance. Something that I think EV's are trying to stay clear of concidering how many people aren't taking them seriously already.

Thanks for your thoughts... the plan is to have a variety in different styles.  Also each will be available in tone on tone colors ways to bring subtle feel but still have the detail.

Well, there's always this approach to decal art:

Not sure if that gives it more of, or less of, a "toy like appearance," but it's always been one of my favorites.

A nice solar image could be fun...

Maybe peacekeeper blue gets the first one:

Red gets this:

Black and silver models could get a positive and negative image of the sun...or a coronal image...

Could someone do the image template a bit better than this?  I'm trying to get this ready so that people can take the side panel image and submit their own designs for a contest.

brammo fan...
the contest is at the idea stage and this is a topic that brammo marketing and product development will drive if & when they decide.  I have this along with other topics in-front of them.  If when I hear anything I'll make sure to let you know.

kind regards,

Here's my personal bike equipped with the Sirlin "Velocita" Graphic package.  I wasn't sure I loved it with the green "boomerang" inserts on the body panel, but now it's kind of growing on me.  Let me know what you think...

Super foggy, huh? The "fog proof" visor doesn't help much on days like this!

Very cool.  I looked at the image you posted on plixi (twitter) and I couldn't figure out what I was looking at.  Now I see it in full resolution.

Did you install these?  How difficult/easy was it?

Very nice.

1. So is the "boomerang" paint going to be an official Brammo option or a do it yourself project?

2. How are you liking the side bags? And are you thinking of moving up to the hard case side bags?

3. How many variations is Sirlin planning? I wouldn't mind a solar or mod themed side panel.

Thanks for the images...I'll take my Plus very similarly kitted up...Black body with blue paint on mesh, side bags and a carbon front fender...or White body with blue paint on mesh, but that isn't yet an option :)

Glad you guys are liking them.  They're great because they're not permanent, so if you get tired of them, you can always remove them and get something different or just go "naked".

The decals themselves are pre-cut and are very easy to install.  I just put a bit of windex on the side panel, lined up the holes and then applied like any other decal.  Using a squeegee helps to get the air bubbles out as well.

We're still working on pricing, but the goal is to keep them very affordable...

The alternate colored boomerangs are a nightmare to manage in production (imagine guessing how much of which color to run in production given all the various combinations), so will likely remain a owner mod that we'll try to support as best we can with alternate colors available on the site.

The softshell saddle bags are great. They're really nice for carrying rain gear, extra gloves, and a light jacket to wear at work.  I've also been able to fit a surprising amount of groceries in them when needed.  I'll probably spring for the Givi hard bags even though I might not have them fitted up all the time.  They've got even more space and a lockable lid.  The mounting racks for them have an integrated handle for the center stand option as well.  Nice, integrated design work from my team that I'd be proud to show off on my bike.

Not sure how many variations we'll do on the side panel graphics... guess it depends on how popular they are.  I know there are no limits to Josh (Sirlin)'s creativity...

Here's what the bike would look like with a Limited Silver boomerang and the Sirlin "Velocita" sidepanel decals...

Nice...while I was hoping Black and Blue (or White and Blue), I'd take a limited edition black and silver (maybe keep the silver light to get a strong contrast to the black...maybe even white or almost white...or if this "limited edition" had that same side panel graphic, you could either pick a paint to match the white or the gray in the graphic)....

See, adding a bit of color get addictive...lets see how many other variations get mentioned :)

Boomerangs.  I love the new terminology.

I think the decals are a great idea.

Any thought about clear side panels?  This one silly man I know wanted clear panels and internal LEDs for his Enertia.
