Would like to hear your opinion about the heidnau tires. I don't like the TKC80 on my Adventure, think it's to ... I would I put.... booring on the adventure.

I'm lucky to have two sets of wheels. For street I have Conti Trailattack2 (or3?) and for the dirt I prefeer MT21. Downside with the MT21 is the wear. I normaly get around 2000-3000 miles out of them. But they are a blast on the dirt. Unfortunally they don't make them in Brammo sizes.

Cool Idea, but it needs new suspension to be really usable on the dirt.

Frodus: I think you are right about the rear fender, it needs to be longer but fron not so sure. I have a KTM 950 Adventure as well and it only have a standard floppy frontfender like the Empulse and it's as aged well with thousands after thousands of miles on the dirt. But if you want to take it out in mud you need a high fender or it will in the end lock up the front wheel with all the mud.

Too bad there's nothing new about ABS on the Empulse. Since 2016 all new motorcycles above 125cc (or eqvivelent kw) has to have ABS to be allowed to sell within EU. So I guess we will not see the Empulse return to Europe in quite a while. :(

Nice one...

I just went for the heated grip since the fall is coming to Sweden and it's starting to feel a bit nippy in the morning.

If I just could get the damn bike registered soon so I can start using it THIS year...  :'(

Well a good old whack with the rubber mallet (and a closer look at the parts fische (sp?) ) and I got it loose. Thought the construction within the handlebar was different.

So now the grips are in place just needs a few bits for the 12v connection and then I can get my fingers warm as well. :)

How about some thermoelectric cooling?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoelectric_cooling

Does take some oomps from the battery but might be worth it in the end...

Yes I know the trick with windex. I was talking about the end cap that feels like it's stuck solid.

Looks like evfr.net has been taken down due to the domain name expired on the 8/17/16.

Thanks everyone.

Can't say that I'm the only Brammo owner in Sweden but the second one (as far as I know) and the only Yellow one... ;D

There's a black/grey one further south in Sweden but everyone knows that the yellow ones are the fastest.  ;)

Call me stupid but I don't understand how I should be able to take off the grips, or more exact the handlebar plug. Is just brute force (after the screw has been removed)?

Mine are stuck real hard but I haven't had the guts to force them out, it's not even registered in Sweden yet so just some small farkling is going on (heated grips and GPS mount).

Could have taken a german exportplates but then I had to spend another 2 days in Germany and work was calling.

Anyway here it is...

Brammo Empulse / Re: Standard Charger/Cable - Europe

OK, thanks for the info.

Damn this means I need to find a solution for the charging. Think I'll go for a cable called Spark (6/10/16 Amp, 230V, Schuko) which meets my needs of max 10amp (would most likely only charge at 6 amp during night).

Well luckily I'll ride cheap after but still, €550 means I need to ride about 5000km before break even... :) Well that will be done within a year anyway.

Just another week (+ a few days) until I'm going to pick up the bike.  :o :o :o :o

At the moment all I have in my garage is a standard European 230V 10Amp schuko outlet. Is it possible to limit the internal charger to only use 10Amp (without triggering the fuse) or do I need to get me one of those fancy cables where there's selectable current?

Cheers,

Looks like there's gonna be 2nd Brammo Empulse R in Sweden within a few weeks.

Gonna drive down to Germany and pick up my "new" 2014 Brammo Empulse R in a few weeks.
Will most likely have a few questions but make them in the correct forum.

Cheers,
