Title: Reading Logs?
Post by: Auslander on June 02, 2014, 03:48:53 PM
Anyone know how to read the .DRV and .CHG logs?  I can open them in a hex editor but am not making sense out of the contents.  Would like to see what was going on during charging, duration, etc.

Thanks!

flar has a java program that can read the files here:

A couple of us have taken shots at decoding the files in this thread. FreepZ's updates to flar's program is probably the most advanced.

I haven't seen any Enertia Plus logfiles yet. If none of the log readers can handle the E+ files, then send me any files you want to be analyzed and I'll update my utility, or post them them here if you want to share them publicly. (They likely contain your VIN, which you may or may not care about).

Thanks! Using both yours and Enspector I was able to get a good idea of what's going on.  If you don't make it to the bottom of the screed I posted elsewhere:

"BTW, Protomech, at least for Enertia+ logs, using your log viewer, position 17 looks to be amps.  I can see the graph initially jump to 9, then drop to 1 or 2 and hold there the duration of the time AC is plugged in."
