Title: Tires
Post by: Leander on October 25, 2019, 12:33:26 PM
This week I fitted my first new set of tires on my Empulse R

I went for the Bridgestone T31

I love them!

They are a bit rounder and it's steering like a knife (dutch expression)
Very noticable at round-abouts and sharp corners.

I already had these tires on mij Yamaha diversion 900 and never had any "strange" things with them.

I got the Continental Road Attack 3. They warm up quick, stick like glue and actually last longer than  you'd expect. I think they vary the rubber compound along the tire cross section, making it stickier on the sides (where you need it) and just a bit harder in the middle To not wear out so quickly) But for whatever reason, they do the job

Good choice, that would have been mine too, but my local shop didn't have them.

I am happy with the Dunlop Road Smart III tires.  They seem to handle well and have a long life.  Plus, they are some of the less expensive name-brand tires on the market.

Surprisingly good handling tire with a long service life....  Also very good in the rain....

At 41K miles on the bike, I'm on my 3rd set of Michelin Pilot Roads and find them all-around excellent, lasting about 15K miles.
