Yep.  I've taken all the hills around here.  I have the Brammo tech coming to my office possibly tomorrow.  If i can get a hold of him, maybe he can bring down a demo bike for you to try. Let's jump off this thread and send direct messages.

Hello Don.  I just happen to work in Carlsbad and commute from Vista.  I will tell you that the bike has absolutely no problems getting up the hills around here.  I take different routes to work and the best one is oceanside boulevard to the coast, down the coast to cannon, past legoland to faraday.  If you know the area well you know there are quite a few ups and downs along that route.

I too am having an issue with Registering my Brammo.  I took ownership of my Enertia on June 14 and still have not received my plates.  I have called the DMV and Best Buy 3 or more times and nothing.  I was told by the best buy rep that my DMV paperwork went out the Monday after my purchase.  To make matters worse i noticed when getting insurance that she wrote VIN incorrectly.  I am currently on hold now for the fourth time with the DMV.  I hope they find something today because Best Buy is doing nothing.

I'm a current owner in San Diego as well.

Brammo News And Views / Re: Introducing the Brammo Empulse.

Is the Empulse using new battery technology or just more of the same batteries in the enertia?  If it's new tech, any chance of upgrading my Enertia.  I think getting 60 miles on my Enertia will open up a whole world or pleasure riding for me.

that's about the average temp i run at.  On another topic, i am getting a strange noise when i apply the front brakes.  It's a clicking sound that increases/decreases in speed depending on the speed of the bike.  Just wondering if you've heard of anything like that.  Sounds like a call to Dave Harvey, the SoCal rep, is needed.  Also, have you had any issues with your seat latch coming loose?

Brammo Enertia / How hot have you gotten your brammo?

About 2 days ago i was on my way home from work.  The ambient temp outside was 69 degrees.  I was about 8 miles into my journey home which, just happens to be the top of a fairly long(2 miles) gradual accent.  That is when i notice the motor temp was over 200 degrees.  It got as high as 205 and noticed a slow in speed.  Not a big deal since i was only 3 miles from the house and had plenty of power to make it there.  I'm wondering what will happen during summer when the temps reach 80-90.  Will the bike shutdown or will the system slow the bike until the temperature drops?

I just purchased one crg bar-end mirror last night online.  Hope it comes soon. I probably paid too much ($89.00), but the stock mirrors are really bugging me.

Thanks for the kind welcome everybody.  After todays commute i should have my first 100 miles on it.  I am definitely learning to ride it more efficiently everyday.  Since my commute is 11.6 miles one way to work, and have the ability to charge there,  i move along at a pretty brisk pace.  To answer Phantom, I have owned a VTR250, ex500 and a cbr600.  I haven't ridden in 20 years and find the experience more pleasurable now than when i was a teen.

I have been looking and reading reviews about the Enertia since the beginning of the year.  This past weekend i test drove one,  then bought it an hour later.  The purchase process was a little lengthy.  I imagine Best Buy will streamline the process to more they sell.  The best part, Dave Harvey adjusted his schedule just to deliver it the next day.  Not only did he deliver on a Sunday, not only was it a 2hr drive but it was the day after his Anniversary.  Super nice guy.   Thanks Dave

I have commuted to work on it for 3 days and absolutely love it.  Tons of looks and questions from people at work.  When i have some extra time i'll throw together a video or two or perhaps some pics. ;D
