Very cool to see Buell back in the game and challenging the European sports bike brands. I think if they took the styling up a notch, they'd be a real contender. The tail and tank section look pretty nice, it's just the front fairing and headlight that need some massaging to compete with the likes of this...

I'm also not sold on the single front disc rotor, but I guess every manufacturer needs to have it's quirk(s)! ;)

If they are trying to minimize unsprung weight then a single rotor system makes sense, as long as it doesn't heat soak.

In the looks department, I was disappointed to see Eric has thrown the muffler up the side, like everybody else. Preferred it tucked outasight.

Sure, if you like the front of your bike looking like an anime mecha. ;)
I'm sold on the weight of the front wheel. And I don't know if I've ever seen the EBR boys have issues braking in AMA SBK. But I know they've developed that system since they started racing the RS. Air ducting apparently came from a comment by a NASCAR guy to the effect of, "what do you mean you don't have air ducts for the front brakes?"

I missed the air ducts when I viewed the article. Pretty trick!
Dam, those spokes look like something you might find on a hi-tech bicycle... talk about getting out on the skinny branches of design!
