And you will need a connector, same as batterycable

Hi, below you find a copy of a message i posted earlier on this forum;

https://jag35.com/products/24v-20-ah-valence-lifepo4-battery-u1-24rt

Seller:  note that these are reclaimed packs, so the actual cell voltage you receive may be lower than the label shows. These items are sold for DIY and Second Life purposes. Listings that are specifically described as  untested  or sold as-is  and cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. We make no guarantees that all cells will be usable. Even when sold as new, NOS, or like-new, they may be in less than perfect condition. Buyer is responsible for proper cell recycling/disposal.

Hi, below you find a copy of a reply on a post i posted earlier on this forum;

 I had to repair a U1-12XP for my Enertia that had a prior botched repair where one bank of batteries was completely dead.  The balance board had the blinking red, so I took it out and connected it to 4 new LifePO4 18650 cells to test and when I checked the diagnostics, 2 of the cells that had 3.3V came up as 0V in the diagnostic.  So I had a busted balance board (it sounds like you are saying you do too).  To replace the board, I ordered a U27-12XP board to replace it from:

https://www.yousun.org/product/valence-u27-12xp-lifepo4-battery-balance-board

This is the same board as the U1-12XP, but it is the modern one from the green batteries and doesn't fit the battery box well (I mounted mine externally in a fly tackle box).  I think the batteries you got are so small you should have the room needed to mount internally.  Once I programmed the right battery number from the diagnostic program, it worked like a charm, no different from the original balance board.

Anyway, not sure if this helps any, but out of curiosity, what did you use for your bus bars/wires?

you better first get your diagnostic software  working, maybe there is def something wrong with your batteries.

did you run a check with the Valence diagnostic software?

open battery by removing cover, disconnect thick black (minus)wire, wait 1 minute and re-connect black wire.

pretty sure it is the same battery, comparing the old Valence and new Lithion datasheets. There might be a difference in the onboard BMS hardware/software. Any idea of the price of those batteries?

Brammo Enertia / Re: Convert to Belt Drive? Can it be done?
« on: May 12, 2023, 01:03:45 AM »
Hi, I spoke to a guy in Germany who modded his Enertia with a beltdrive. Some technical details: Sprockets from Zero-bike, needs to be adjusted for fitting on motorshaft and rearwheel. Rearfork, one tube needs to be cut for placing the belt, after mounting tube is replaced with clamping bushes, he added a springloaded roll for belt tension. Unfortunately i lost the contact-info of the builder.
This is all i can tell you, good luck with modding, keep us informed.

Hello Sunchaser,
Using RT's will not function properly/at all..
First: The onboard BMS in a RT is not the same as in a XP. I doubt an RT can communicate with the master BMS.
Second:The XP's have a higher dischargerate then the RT's; XP 80A continue/ 120A peak. RT 30A continue/80A peak. in my opinion the XP's are nearly capable in doing their job: When accelerating the motor will pull over 200Amps from your batteries, when cruising you will need more than 80Amps, so the XP's are allready overstressed most of the time, using RT's will result in overheating the batteries and large voltagedrops.

Brammo Enertia / Re: replacement for Valence u1-12xp?

Will the bike run without one of the battery BMS connected? I'm rebuilding a battery but the cells won't be here for months. I want to use a plain U1 SLA battery temporarily but I need to know if that idea will let it ride?
No it will not run, you will get a lot of alarm-messages. For Enertia-basic: the slave-bms (build in every valence-module) needs to be part of the system. You can separate the bms of the defect module and build it in a temp. lifepo4 4s 12.8v battery,

Hi there, i am looking for an Electrical Diagram for the Enertia Basic with  the Sevcon Controller, these are the later version of the Enertia, earlier versions had the Sigmadrive Controller. There is an electrical diagram for the sigmadrive version on brammowiki, now i need to find the sevcon version.

Sometimes my messages are cut off when typing an apostrofe, and sometimes not, let's try, i'm pretty sure it is the cause of cut-offs. ok, seems it's working allright now. When i look at the cut-offs in Iceman's posts: it's cutoff on an apostrofe, don't they?
