I took the check from insurance. They will sell it at auction soon. Most of the bike was in good shape except front end/cluster/ handle bars and fairings. Availability of parts get it totaled.

Progipix are the broker  #G2-A4238 for thos who may be interested

The empulse transmission is more in the concept of a bicycle gears than a car transmission.

On a bicyle, do you "need" 10-12 gear? No.
1 is enough to get you going. Just need a tall gear to have the same top speed because you're RPM limited &  a bigger pair of legs to have the same wheel torque as the lowest gear.

Do you need to run through all of them? No.
You just pick the one that suit you most and go with it. Yes, 6 gear is probably 3 too many, same as a bicycle.

For me, I have a 42T so
1st gear is for street ;0-80km/h, 90% of the time .
2nd for boulvard 40-100km/h,
3rd for highway ramp,
4 for highway
5,6... getting to 170kmh or "hypermiling"

A single gear need at least  twice more Torque at the motor shaft to have the same wheel torque as a mutli gear in 1st. Give me the same wheel torque than a multi speed with a single gear and I choose the single gear. Until a 150lb-ft+ single gear is available, I will stick with a tranny.

OD x ID x Thk in inches

.467 x .325 x .050
.625 x .410 x .032
.750 x .525 x .055

you're right & even if it's not mandatory at this point, I had the feeling it getting softer over time. It's so gradual that some may never notice it. Since it's not leaking & it's winter big time over here, I may wait a bit if I'm not getting part in time. For now, i'm not impressed with Polaris support at all. Parts for 10 years, yeah right! ::)

Anyone know which other bike brand/model are using marzocchi rac 43? I'm trying to get fork seal from victory but doesn't work so far..

Thanks in advance

I share your pain. Right now, I'm having hard time getting parts from them. Fork seal shouldn't be that complicated to get. First they didn't have the part number, they had to open a ticket. then the part cannot be ordered so they opened another ticket that has been closed by polaris. By chance, the winter is freaking long over here so I gave them the bike end of November so they had time to figure out all this. as for now i'm harrassing them twice a week.  I just hope I will not have to take legal action. they have until end of March to make it happen before beginning of season.

Good luck

Eric

is't over the rear brake disk. Very common problem apparently. Ride it until you receive the new part from your dealer. Connector is under the seat next to the usb log key.

Brammo Empulse / Re: How do you primarily charge your Empulse?
« on: January 20, 2016, 11:32:05 AM »
at work on L2 charger every 2 days since it's free for 2 more year. after that it will be at home on 120v because its 5 time cheaper.  .06$/kw versus 1$/hr on the L2 . Then maybe I will check to get a L2 at home but right now, the price is way too high to cut time in half. Charging at work will be only when I need the extra 12% to go somewhere.

moisture too high. It can go away if you plug at low temp. battery heater will do the job. Check with your dealer to see from wich pack it come & if it's really too high. A reseal of the pack may be needed. 30% moisture is the target.

just the sensor. take 5 min to change. Mine was not working for a month. now im good at speed guessing with the wind. ;D Just send the sensor to your dealer & ride it until you receive the new one.
