A&R notes that one of Kawasaki's top teams is entering the TT Zero with the support of Zytek, a major EV OEM industry player.
Should be interesting with Honda/Mugen on the list as well.
I think Brammo has a 2-3 year head start with the Empulse - we'll probably see mainstream EV bikes from the big OEMs by 2015. Let's hope Brammo makes the most of the time between now and then.

I read that, and commented. I'm not convinced there is any Kawi factory involvement. I'm also not completely convinced there is really much support coming from Zytec. It sounds like a left over/extra ZX-10 race chassis is being used and maybe Zytec gave up a motor and/or controller because the team has such a good record and ties to a a major manufacturer. But Jensen has a tendency to be right.
2-3 years before some of the big four get something on the market sounds good to me. I feel pretty confident that in 2-3 years Brammo will have a new bike with power and maybe even weight comparable to a liter class sport bike in power, 0-60 numbers, and maybe even top speed. I don't see packs being much bigger than 15kWh though.

Jensen did present some interesting insights that support his theory. I am not sure, but it would be reasonable to think that, at least indirectly, Kawasaki should be keeping a very opened eye to any breakthrough in technology. The GP is one place to find that kind of advancement.

Brammo mentioned, compared etc.

Sounds like they won't be in the race this year:
