EDITED ON 4/25/2014:
For now, let's all the use the generic electric motorcycle map created by frodus at
If you're logged in, then when you sign into the map, the field with your forum username should be pre-populated. If you put your twitter name in, it will show your twitter avatar in the pop-up.
If you want features added to the map, let us know.
This should help give everyone an idea of the possibility of "group rides."
Hope you like it. (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336[/url)

wouldn't let me proceed without a Brammo bike...i don't have one yet...i went ahead and put an Enertia Plus in, but feel like i'm misrepresenting myself a bit. :)
maybe Brammo can rectify my incorrect map entry by selling me a Plus today :) Tomorrow would be fine too....
Gavin
-
I imagine that many people are going to be pre-order status. No reason we cant put ourselves on the map before we get our Brammos! :)
-
Nope...I still contend it is unethical that I have my name on that Map listing me as an Enertia Plus owner and that Brammo needs to sell me a Plus right away to rectify this situation....
:)

Big thanks to EmpulseBuyer who coded the whole map. Looks awesome! I just integrated it into the site ;)
-
Yes you did, Skadamo! Everyone please note that we now have the "Map" and the "Wiki" links in the menu bar at the top of the page. SLICK!
-
Put myself in there with the 6.0, my preorder. I'm still debating a bit vs 8.0 or 10.0, but I figure I have a little bit to decide : P
-
I need a little help with that form. What does "Motorcycle" mean? Is that a current motorcycle that you own, or a Brammo model - which would be a duplicate of the Brammo selections above? Also, when I entered my zip code it said that the zip code was invalid when I hit enter. Is that the zip code of the Best Buy where I bought (or hope to buy) my Empusle?

I guess it's not perfectly clear, and I keep forgetting that you're not a current Brammo owner. (Hey... who let this guy in? :) ) If I didn't own a Brammo, I'd pick the bike that I WANTED to own, or that I had a preorder in on.
Not sure about the zipcode. Maybe try another one near you? We don't need to know your EXACT location.
-
I got in. It decided that it wanted my zip code in the "motorcycle" space and also wanted the same zip code in the "zip code" space.
I have this thing about computer programs. They hate me. ::)
-
Nice...now we have Brammos from sea to shining sea...
Ready to pick up my Plus and change that mark to an "own" from a "want."

Looks like we have got a handful of markers on the map. Not bad but a lot is missing I think. Is it possible to blast an email out to all forum members to give things a jump start?
Also, I will be adding International support to the code in a week or two.

Yes it is possible to blast an email out. I did it around Christmas or New Years, I think. It is one of my superpowers as an administrator of this forum. With great power, however . . .
Yeah, I'll probably do this, but maybe I should wait until the international support is added, given the GLOBAL spread of the Brammo Owners Forum.
::)
-
until the international support is added,
There is, so I put myself on it as a "I want to have".
-
I guess that means I should get to work on a MAP BLAST EMAIL. :-\
-
tried, but failed.
DB Error: constraint violation
my target is Empulse 6.0.
I live in Taipei, Taiwan [anyone knows where it is????]

Hey! I'm now on the map!

We're working on this problem, Lienly. And yeah, we know where Taipei is... just trying to figure out why then map can't find it. ;)
-
I'm on it. So it seems that (for now at least) the "international" part of that map comes from two Dutch speakers from the low countries (Belgium and Holland). Come on!

Please try again, lienly. We just fixed this.
-
Having the same problem with Hong Kong...constraint error. Seems China is a valid entry, but I'd rather not commit myself to that! :)
-
I just tried it (changed my map settings to Hong Kong, and then to Taipei, Taiwan) and it worked fine for me. If you could copy and paste the text of the error you're getting, that would be a great help.
-
Dang, I recreated the error and thought I had the issue fixed. :( I guess not. Yes, the full error's text will help.
-
Well, I'm on the map, with my dreambike, the empulse 8.0. Sure wish it was in my garage...
Mr. Wisman, if you need hot-weather desert testers, I volunteer! :)
In the meantime, this is a pretty cool feature.
-
hey hey HEY!!!!
I already offered to be the High Desert tester, so I have Dibs :)
We aren't as hot here in Albuquerque, but I can test for Desert conditions and for High Altitude conditions.
But Brammo told me they have lots of people offering to be testers for the Empulse and Enertia Plus.
Gavin
-
How about high altitude and low temperatures? Hell, I will pay cash money for the Empulse that I am testing, just as long as i get to keep it of course.
-
I'll volunteer to test temperature swings between highs of 30 and highs of 70 in a 2-3 days..
-
I probably have high altitude and low temp covered since I rode a couple weeks ago in -5 degrees.+++
Of course I rode at 65 degrees yesterday.
I ride everyday at around 6000 feet, but can easily do some testing at 10,000 feet if you want :)
Gavin
+++though I'm not sure Brammo wants me testing any of their bikes at -5 degrees anyways...and I don't plan to do any more riding this year at -5 anyways...chilly on the eye sockets (face shield fogged and froze instantly...had to ride the whole time with face shield up)

Lienly, try and create an account in another country, then change your location back to Taipei, Taiwan. That may work until i can find the actual bug. Thanks!
-
I'm claiming the low-desert, high temperature testing mantle! I once rode 50 miles in 120-degree heat here in phoenix. Man, that'll test you just as much as riding in 20 degree temps (yes, I've done plenty of that, too).
-
Lisbon, Portugal is not working... :-\
-
No solution yet?
-
I apologize, I have been extremely busy with my day job these past few weeks. Some countries are still not working properly, the solution (workaround) is to register in one that does then change your location afterwords. Eg: Enter New York, NY and once you get a marker just change your location to whatever it actually is. Somehow that works. Still trying to track down this bug guys, sorry.
-
Thanks I'm going to try, now...
-
Works ;D
Many thanks, I'm the first on my country :D
But there are much more interested that do not participate here, I know because I've been making Brammo a well know mark ;)
Best regards.
-
Map is pretty outdated now. Might make sense to wipe all non-Enertia bikes added before December 2012 and start populating it as people get their Empulses and Enertia Pluses (Enertias Plus?)
Also make sure our lucky European owners can add themselves to the map : )
-
It doesn't like my location. Can someone explain how to make this thing work. I tried zip codes and cities and it won't except any.
Thanks, Eric
-
The system is not returning long lat data for locations. I dont have direct access to the code (I sent) so I cant troubleshoot it directly. May be something really easy but there is no way for me to diagnose the issue at this point.
-
I love the idea, but it won't accept the two zip codes I tried. Can you advise me on a solution?
Many thanks,
Bushy
-
Yeah, we're working on it.
Welcome to the forum!

Is the map dead?
-
Perhaps.
-
I'm working on it..... Stay tuned. Testing it now. It will be for All electric motorcycles... Zero... Brammo... Diy. I can add more brands and models later.
-
I'm working on a a permanent domain, but I've got it launched on my personal website for now:
https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336/ (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336)
(the map WILL retain any information you enter, so when I do finally port somewhere, it stays with the map)
Go there, click "add" and just use "electric" as the key. I kind of hope people enter their email so other users can contact them. We have a few users already at this point, so Feel free to add yours. This is for all motorcycle users right now. I may make changes in the coming days, but I'll try my best to keep things intact.
Right now, I approve your locations, but I may change that. We'll see how bad spam is.
Enjoy!
-
Says "Authentication failed. Make sure the map is un-locked, you are signed in, or entered the proper key (password) for addition."
-
00049: did you enter electric as the password at the top?
-
Yeah you have to type in the key. I did that to keep spammed entries down.
-
Removed they key and I hide your address. Please enter in an email so users can hit you up for rides.
-
Can we edit our info?
Thought I would add my website:
http://brammoblog.com/ (http://brammoblog.com/)
-
It stores your instance in a cookie so use the same computer and try to change. If not I can add it.
I unlocked so no key and no approval. Address won't show but it's there for location purposes.
-
Got it. Thanks for setting this up!
-
We've got about 50 people added to the map in just a few days. Great work!
Keep em coming!

I'm working on a a permanent domain, but I've got it launched on my personal website for now:

Any chance someone can edit the first post in the thread to link to the new URL?
-
Any chance someone can edit the first post in the thread to link to the new URL?
We can do that. :)
-
We can do that. :)
Excellent! I knew it was in the thread somewhere, but I imagine as it grows, have it top dead center will make it easier for future newbz. :)
Any chance of an 'edit' function? Somehow (sure, "somehow") I managed to post without giving more 411. There's a dealer in Austin, I can't be the only rider here!
-
To all who want to edit:
Go to https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336 (https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=939336) and Open your bubble.... Click on your name at the top of the bubble (not on the side legend) and if you're using the same browser and computer (and you haven't cleared your cookies lately) you can edit.
If not... Email me. I can remove your location and you can do it over.
To all:
When you add a location.... There's a little link it gives you at the end. If you save that somewhere you can easily come back to edit.
The fact that you... On xxxx computer and yyyy location uploaded a location is saved in your browser's cookies. If you return.... You can edit it, but no one else's.
If you clear cookies or use a different browser.... Then you have to email the admin... Listed at the top of my website.
-
We just added a link to the map on the menu bar (The one that says Home, Help, Wiki...)
-
Sweet! Thanks a bunch! I may get a new domain this week and will update this thread with a link. The current domain will forward to the new domain... So it will work regardless.
We're up to 63! Not bad at all! Diy out numbers any other category.
-
FYI: On a Windows 7 machine, the map opens in IE and Firefox, but stalls in Chrome.
-
Seems fine on my Windows 7 PC in Chrome. :-\
-
I only use Chrome at home. Tested on IE and Firefox as well as chrome on several computers and Android devices. Make sure it's updated and some other plug in isn't causing an issue.
-
Works fine in Chrome on Win8.1 too...
-
The wonderful thing about computer standards: so many to choose from! If others have no problem, no sweat for me to switch browsers when I look at the map. Thanks for everyone's input.
-
I'll email zeemaps and let them know .... see if they've got a fix.
-
The Electric Motorcycle Owners Map has hit the big time. I just found this article by Mike Werner on the BMW forum that I frequent:
http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/electric-motorcycles-find-out-where-they-are---owner-map.htm (http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/electric-motorcycles-find-out-where-they-are---owner-map.htm)
IC motorcycle riders keep getting hit over the head with electric motorcycle news. Eventually, they will see the light. ;D
-
I'm stoked!
We're almost at 100 people, in right at 2 weeks time!
I'm looking for domain names, will start a thread so people can give their opinion.
-
Bump!
Over 200 now.... We need more!
-
What's the method to update if we've switched machines/browsers many times and lost cookies?
-
Just email me and I can edit/remove the old one and you can add a new or just tell me how you want it changed.
admin email: maps@emf-power.com
-
Looks like evfr.net has been taken down due to the domain name expired on the 8/17/16.
/Zappa
-
Yeah, I let it expire.
Go here to the map:

done, I add next marker :D
