Hi all, short term we need to run with the default template until I find a new one that looks good and is compatible with SMF 2.0.18. Will be coordinating with Brammofan on it.

I apologize for the look and feel until that is resolved.

You can opt out of viglink. There is also a link to more info about the Viglink privacy policy and what they track.

As far as donations, that is a generous offer. I would prefer not to ask everyone for money. Everyone already donates their time and expertise in the form of posts. Maybe we could look into removing ads for active posters.

I'll figure out a way to post a disclaimer about Viglink.

Hi protomech,

I run EMF and the technical side of BF. Yes viglink does all of the above for purposes of monetizing links to retail sites. For this site mostly it only makes money on eBay links. I live in IL so I can't collect from Amazon.

I agree that the tracking your ISP does is more of a concern for privacy.

I am happy to answer any questions about viglink or post something on EMF to explain this as well.

Please let me know your concerns about viglink. I think we can drop it and let go of the < $3 / month it makes if it makes folks not want to visit the site or trust me, Harry or this site less. My purpose was never to mislead anyone. I did not realize anyone would care about viglink so it is eye opening that you brought it up. Thanks for that.

I'd prefer to keep viglink. I think if we can eventually make enough money with this site we can get a better hosting provider and make this site safer (less vulnerable to hacking), faster and better.

As a frequent Brammoforum poster, what would you like to see on BrammoForum.com to make this right?

Upgrade is complete. Over the course of the day I will be restoring some of the features. The link to the Wiki is not showing up so I need to figure that out.

I'm a 36 y/o website Performance Analyst that has been in IT since '98. I live in far west chicago suburbs.

Married with two boys.

I ride and have an strange desire to learn all trivial details of anything with 2 wheels. Love bikes and most people who ride them.

I learned the value of community forums back in '99 when I got my sv650. You learn *a lot* and make great friends. I have built and run forums since '05.

I tend to buy bikes that are a good bang for the buck or break the mold. Yes my friends pick on me for it. :D I currently ride a DRZ400s and a Hyosung GT250R. I prefer dirt.

I drive a Nissan Xterra.
