Welcome Forum / Site template issues
« on: February 26, 2021, 05:50:59 PM »
Hi all, short term we need to run with the default template until I find a new one that looks good and is compatible with SMF 2.0.18. Will be coordinating with Brammofan on it.

I apologize for the look and feel until that is resolved.

Off Topic / Site Outage - Part my fault, part GoDaddy
« on: August 25, 2010, 09:15:37 AM »
If you visited Brammoforum.com in the last 12+ hours you were presented a GoDaddy screen. Despite getting an email that this domain was renewed it turns out the renewal fees were reversed by paypal and the domain went to repo. The paypal balance was my fault. Sorry all.

Godaddy says they emailed me warning it would go to repo but I recieved no emails. (A search of my inbox is attached.)

So after the domain went down I called Godaddy and they said it would be up to 24 hours to get it out after I paid the account off.

Turns out about 1:24 AM i got an email saying the domain was cancelled. Huh? (still looking into this)

Called this morning to see what was up. Customer service said it would be 24 to 48 hours to bring it back. Looks like it is up now. GoDaddy customer service is great. The processes behind it are not so hot. I'm mad enough but if this was a site that made money GoDaddy would be history.

This really paints a poor image of how GoDaddy views the importants of domains to their owners. All I needed was a text, phone message or email to warn me. I'm never delinquent on payments on purpose.

So, this summary is partially a message to everyone letting you know what happened and partially a message to GoDaddy if they care to listen.

« on: August 11, 2010, 01:56:47 PM »
I will be doing some changes to the forum structure shortly. Harry and I were chatting and think they will make the forum better organized. You all should not see any interruptions.

If you can't find your post please search for it. The category name it lives in may change but a search should find it.

I'll reply when it's done. Pls let us know what you think.

« on: June 14, 2010, 09:46:02 AM »
Last night we moved the site from the HTTP 500 spewing budget hosting servers to a different host. I apologize for the downtime. Took a while for the url to propagate across the interwebs. Looking pretty fast this morning.

Please let us know if you see any problems with the site today.

Brammo News And Views / Brammo Anti-scooter pics?
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:23:24 AM »
I was checking out an old video while looking for cool stuff to post here and I found gold. Maybe.

There has been whisper of a second Brammo model coming very soon. It is said to be similar to the Honda Rukus and was dubbed the "Anti-scooter" by AsphaltAndRubber.com

The video below is not new, I am kicking myself for not spotting this the other half a dozen times I watched the video. Was probably listening too hard. Harry, what's your excuse? Where you holding out on us? :D

Interesting features:
- Upside down forks. No scooter has them. Awesome.
- Hub motor. Simple and effective.
- Single, right mounted rear shock.

Of couse, it could just be a prototype with a recent dashboard added. We will see...

Brammo News And Views / Interesting Brammo Commercial
« on: April 13, 2010, 05:59:32 AM »
Looks like this was part of a school project. Pretty cool class. :D Interesting choice of Brammo logo at the end. I think that is one of the logos created by the 2009 CPB interns?

Brammo News And Views / Videos - How to post them on Brammo Forum
« on: April 12, 2010, 03:04:33 PM »
There are 2 ways you can post a video on this site.

1) We have a dedicated "Media" section for pictures and videos. You can upload it there. Here is an example of a video I uploaded to the site...
http://brammoforum.com/index.php?action=media;sa=item;in=48

2) Copy a URL from YouTube, viddler, or whatever site your on and paste it in a new post here on the forum. Add some text describing the move. Then simply submit the post. The video will appear *like magic*. No need to use embed code from YouTube. See below. Same video I uploaded in step 1.
