Brammo Enertia Plus / Re: Winter Storage
« on: November 18, 2014, 05:51:43 PM »
Thank you, Brammofan, I appreciate the input from a 'seasoned' rider.  Re-reading your response, I'm a little confused -you leave the bike plugged in (24/7?), and then about every two weeks, top off the charge?

I am certainly up for a ride anytime there is a break in the cold weather so I would love to have the bike ready on a moments notice whenever an opportunity presents itself.

Brammo Enertia Plus / Winter Storage
« on: November 17, 2014, 07:03:37 PM »
It is a little early but weather reports indicate that Winter has arrived in the North East. It is expected to be in the mid-20's tonight and we have already had some accumulation of the white stuff! Unless there is a break in temps, I might not have another opportunity to ride till March.
I have read the Enertia owners manual and followed the Winter Storage guide lines (SoC @ 50-70 percent). The bike is stored in my garage (unheated).
Are there any other recommendations worth considering? Should I cover the Enertia with a blanket or place a small heater nearby?
Thanks, Theoplus

Welcome to the Brammo family, Roma258. I am also in Northern New Jersey -near the Delaware Water Gap. Great area for riding.
Good luck with your new Empulse. I look forward to seeing pics after it arrives on the East Coast.

Brammo News And Views / Re: Brammo End of Summer sale -
« on: August 25, 2014, 09:45:54 PM »
Having just purchased an Enertia Plus at the beginning of July, I feel that I paid full price when a major discount was in the Brammo pipeline.  Especially disappointing after discussing this very matter with a company representative.
That being said, I am having a blast on the bike and enjoying every mile!

Brammo Enertia Mods / Recommended Saddlebags and rack
« on: August 08, 2014, 06:00:13 PM »
I am looking for recommendations for saddlebags and a rack for my Enertia Plus.  I have noticed that the Givi 21 Monokey had been indicated for the bike but have had trouble locating the appropriate/compatible rack system.  Looking for advice and a link.
Thanks, Theoplus

Welcome Forum / Re: Our Demographics
« on: July 23, 2014, 07:57:03 PM »
52 years old, married 22 years with one child.
I live in NW New Jersey, working for an exhibition design and fabrication company specializing in display solutions for museum collections and private clients.
A newbie rider, having researched both Brammo and Zero motorcycles for several months before pulling the trigger on an Enertia Plus.  I have a very short daily commute of 10 miles roundtrip to my office and I was tired of driving in a vehicle; the gas, the maintenance, etc.  However, my Subaru is still a necessity given the harsh winters and the occasional trip with the family.  Rather than sell or trade-in a perfectly good vehicle and start payments on a new car, I thought, "why not extend the life-span of my current car by buying a less expensive mode of transportation for the daily commute?".  The way I figure it, I just bought a new vehicle (the Enertia Plus) that is better than half the price of most new cars and it will delay the inevitable replacement of my current vehicle for many years.  Besides the savings from going electric and being nearly maintenance free, it is a blast to ride.  I couldn't be happier with my decision to purchase the Brammo Enertia Plus!

Theoplus

Brammo Enertia Plus / new owner's impressions
« on: July 18, 2014, 08:54:16 PM »
To begin, a little background about myself:
I am a 52 year old exhibition designer.  I design exhibition concepts for the display of art and artifacts for museums and private clients.  I live in Northern NJ and I have a short daily commute to my office of approximately 12 miles round-trip.  A newbie rider, I decided to purchase an electric motorcycle because I wanted a hassle-free and maintenance-free bike that would also provide a thrill that was lacking from my car.  After months of research, discussions with dealers and reps and a few demo rides, I decided to purchase an Enertia Plus.
The bike has been everything I had hoped for; user-friendly, fun and functional.  Besides a few days when heavy rain forced a decision to take the car, the Plus has performed exceedingly well.  I have grown more comfortable on the Enertia with every mile I add to the odometer and I find myself waiting for the work day to end...it's a great stress reliever.
The Pros; the motorcycle is easy to use and comfortable to ride.  It is quick and agile, making even a short commute exhilarating.
Mixed; it gets a lot of attention...perhaps too much.  It is difficult to make it back to the office during a lunch break because people want to stop you and asked questions.  I already feel like a spokesperson for the brand, with a prepared speech touting the benefits of Brammo and the Enertia.
The Cons; the silence of the bike has gotten me up close and personal with the local wildlife.  After the first encounter with a startled deer, I have become quite quick with the horn button.  The only other 'minor' issue to report is concerns with the amount of bugs and road grime that collect on the bike after even a short ride.  Maybe its just the volume of insects currently invading my area -fortunately the bike is easy to clean and I don't mind the time it takes to shine it like new.

Thank you Auslander and Brammofan for the replies and comments.  Auslander, your very thorough review was extremely helpful, as was a read of Gavin's blog.

I signed the paperwork today and expect delivery of my new Enertia Plus tomorrow.  I look forward to riding and being a part of the Brammo community!

Welcome Forum / ready to purchase an Enertia Plus

Hello Brammo owners.  After much research, several demo rides and a few discussions with company reps from (both) electric motorcycle companies, I have made a decision to purchase a Brammo Enertia Plus.  I would be grateful to hear from Enertia Plus riders regarding your favorite -and least favorite- aspect of the bike.  Thanks, Theo
