Title: prepping for wet conditions
Post by: Leander on September 21, 2018, 07:26:03 AM
So, today my first failed commute in heavy rain.

Besides getting soaked myself, the Empulse didn't fare well either.

The high beam light on the dash came on and stayed on. Headlight it self functioned normaly so not a real problem.

Now put the bike on the charger and got the B9 error code.
(other topics on this forum cover this already)
I quess a couple of dry days in the garage will solve this for now.

the question is:
How do you waterproof your Empulse?

I know how Zero does it. They slobber dielectric (silicone?) grease all over every electrical component where water might enter and cause an issue, when assembling their bikes. I saw them do this at the factory and I started feeling like I was in the doctor's office and about to get a rectal examination.  :'(
