You have spools where you should have frame sliders?
-
someone was drunk when reassembling brake lever? Oh , Is it for your backseat when you are speeding too much for her taste?
-
I couldn't help but notice that you let some dirt settle on your Empulse. 8)

That looks like my shifter after my accident. Good news is its getting fixed in 2 weeks.

Ding ding ding! One can always, after all, learn to brake with one's heels. But dirt shows a lack of pride in one's mount.

The brake fluid looks a bit dark too

The "other guy"...

And "the rest of the story" is....?

Super embarrassing. That is all...
OK, really lame low speed U-turn. Hey, am I going to miss that curb? OMG, probbly not. 10 things could have been done to miss the curb and my right hand decides more power might help. Luckily, I wasn't going very fast (5-10mph). Unluckily, that fence turned a "roll away from a high side" into "225 lb. bear meets an immovable steel cable and bicep and chest take most of the brunt". After that was an embarrassing couple of minutes pinned with one leg under the bike behind me, no leverage to lift the bike and my torso pinned against the fence facing away from the road with the wind knocked out of me, several people yelling "are you OK" as they passed by behind me, and all I could do to answer them was flail my arms in the air Team America style.
To give you some perspective, one of my friends took that photo of the fence while waiting for the tow truck. He said that he yanked on the fenceposts with all of his weight, but wasn't able to make them budge, but I knocked 2 of them cockeyed. Do I win a medal?
7 hours in the ER to find one broken bone in my hand and to send me home with just an Ace bandage and a recommendation to get some Ibuprofen and find an orthopedic surgeon for the hand.

Definitely a medal. Glad your injuries aren't serious. The ER wallet biopsy will be a serious injury, though.
Your story isn't quite as embarrassing as my holeshot into the back of my garage, knocking over shelving units, pinned under the bike, rescued by a visiting UPS driver. But you definitely get the silver! And the visual of your flailing arms... way more entertaining!

Always look at the point that you want to go, never where you don't want to end up.
That was one of the first instructions when I started my motorcycle training. It is certainly the most valuable...

That's the first thing that goes through my mind after any incident that I have. Now if only I could get that to go through my mind before I have the incidents... :(
