Breaking News: Production Brammo Empulse R Electric Motorcycle Spied!

No “concept” or prototype here—this is the real thing. After years of rumors, concept introductions and even so-called prototypes spotted, we spied Brammo’s Empulse R electric motorcycle while it was part of a video shoot over the weekend.
 
Brammo’s new motorcycle is expected to top off at 100 mph, with a 121 mile-per-charge range. There are lots of specs on the Brammo website, but it’s not clear if the specs they publically offer are only for the concept and prototypes—or if they’ll carry over to this somewhat different-looking production model.
 
Official launch of the Brammo Empulse R Electric is May 8, 2012 at 9:00 pm. For now, however, this is the first and only preview of the “real” Empulse R.

say I am whining down the road on my EPR and a car pulls out just as I get into the intersection. I try to avoid impact but the driver pulls out just as I pass. The EPR's batteries are smashed and in pieces. The car cathches fire. What do firemen and rescue worker need to know or do? :-\

I don't understand why the children these days don't believe in the technology. Is it because it is soo different they are afraid of it. They still think ICE is the best for motorcycles. Do they love the sound or what? I am having a hard time talking sense into them. The Empulse R is here, in their faces and they make fun of it, like they never heard of it and won't give it a chance.  ::)

One of the biggest complaints from my ice moto friends is that they want some big sound. I really hope somebody comes up with an accessory that will do this. At least this will get them to buy a brammo. :P

May we please have digital speedo like every other sport bike.

And a gear position display too since it will be 6 speed. Less guesswork = safer riding.

Take another look at the 2011. Completely new. And you can buy it now!!

The thing that interests me most is the maintenance free belt drive and other upgrades.   8)
