HadesOmega x Redshift SM39 vs Wednesday Night Drags (June 28,2023)
« Reply #79 on: September 14, 2023, 08:03:38 PM »
Wednesday Night Drags comes along and I got a new old bike a 2018 Alta Redshift SM electric supermoto!  Time to see how it does the 1/4 mile.  Surprisingly this is a pretty good bracket drag racing bike!

Here we go always wanted to race this race and here we are. The conditions are perfect for a race! Unfortunately they wouldn't let me use my helmet camera because of AMA rules so I used my Gopro chest rig instead and unfortunately I ran out of memory during the race..

Been wanting to race this race for a couple years and finally got a chance to this year!  I took my Sur Ron Light Bee with the KO Moto F-Spec motor and controller and my Alta Redshift SM and raced in the Electric Open and Run What Cha Brung classes.  This is also the first flat track race that I would race on the Redshift SM.  The race was in Huntington Beach, California at the Bolsa Chica State Beach.  It was a short track flat track race on asphalt so grip city!

Great racing and  a lot of fun out there. I was surprised there were baggers!  Clearly out for some enjoyment with no chance of being competitive.
It's a popular event and you did well.  The young woman proved tricky to pass in two rides. You made some good starts, surprised everyone was elbow to elbow!!
I watched your impression of the s2 del mar, Experia and ss9. Really enjoyed those videos, interesting roads but sooo bumpy..
You'll be buying an Experia then?

I'd like to buy an Experia but I don't have the money for it right now.  Maybe a few years down the line.  Might even be able to find a used one but Energicas are so rare.  I'm tempted to buy another Empulse they're so cheap now but I want an electric bike I can go on long trips with.

That girl Kassidy was fast she actually races the hooligan amateur and female races so she is legit.  She straight impressed me, on a faster bike she would have got me.  The Greenger G3S were no slouch I saw those guys rippin around on them after the races also, just my Sur Ron was still better because I dumped so much money in it and have raced it so long.

Speaking of the Del Mar I'm am surprised HD didn't enter one in the races.  I think that would make a great flat track bike.  It had more power than the Alta for sure, it's just heavy.
