It was fine after restarting. Any one else seen this.

I got some black reflective tape from 3M. 1/4" wide and 50' from Amazon. Put it on the rims just like I had done on the Enertia  - but that was silver tape. This new stuff has just a little but of sheen, but is almost invisible. Got it on both rims and makes a world of difference. Then I decided to "Tron" the bike just a little.
Pictures of bike with the flash off and on coming soon.

Brammo Empulse / Now really - how to extend mileage?
« on: March 26, 2013, 06:17:30 PM »
I have read that 5k rpm is the peak power band for the Empulse R. But also that is the most efficient rpm to run the bike at. So it is not like an ICE where the idea is to lower the rpm to save fuel? When the 120 +/- mile range at 19 mph was given, what rpm was used? There is no way to go 19 mph at 5k rpm.

I am trying to take an extended ride to the mountains of San Diego County this Friday ( furlough day at work). I have two charging stations planned into the trip but I want to try and get the best range. The first twenty miles is all freeway. Then I hit the first charging station for an hour. Then about 23 miles to the top of Palomar Mountain. Total elevation change of 4,200 feet, but all slower driving. Then back down the "east grade" and down to Santa Ysabel (famous Dudley's Bread and Julian Pie store) and the last charging point. About 33 miles, but about half is downhill - see if I can put some juice back into the battery.
From there I should make it home (about 46 miles). I will have my personal charger in my bag just in case.

Brammo Empulse Mods / PIAA Horn install

I tucked the PIAA horn further up and connected it with nylon ties instead. Peeled the sticker off to make it less noticeable. Sounds great.

Brammo Empulse / Charging Stations - options
« on: March 03, 2013, 11:19:23 AM »
When I got my Empulse R, it came with a ChargePoint card and instructions on how to activate it. Got the phone app too. Problem is that ChargePoint has few charging stations in Southern California. so I looked up the Blink Network - many more charging stations available and a phone app also. Basic setup charges you only $1.50 an hour - no fees.
So my point is to have more choices for charging options. There may be others out there. Check to see what is available in your area so you don't have a limited area to ride in.

Brammo News And Views / 9 of 30's Hero HD tryout on my Enertia
« on: May 23, 2010, 05:33:30 PM »
Tried the camera out on the bike yesterday. Too much vibration and a mount wasn't tight enough so the camera tilts down when I hit a bump. But you do get to hear the bike start!

Brammo Enertia Servicing / Just had my Enertia Serviced
« on: May 09, 2010, 05:01:33 PM »
And they came to my house to do it. Two firmware updates and he actually retapped the magnet mount on the kickstand which lets the kickstand go up higher. David (the tech) even showed me how all the data from every time I turned on the bike is stored and can be retrieved. And eventually, all firmware updates could be done by Wi-Fi. GPS is also in their plans too.
