Title: Empulse Chain...what number of links...
Post by: Gavin on April 11, 2015, 01:42:55 PM
I'm thinking of getting a new chain...in either gold or red...

What number of links does the Empulse need?

Thx

The Empulse chain is short; you do not need that many links.  Take a look here (http://brammoforum.com/index.php?topic=2312.msg17951#msg17951) for my experience on it.

The 96-link chain was the shortest they sold and it was more than enough.

um.  Trying to bite my tongue here, but with the bike sitting in your garage, it shouldn't be that hard to figure it out.   ::)

In any case, you probably want to consider one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Chain-Breaker-Remove-Motorcycle-Heavy/dp/B00MVR1R7K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429266338&sr=8-1&keywords=415+chain+breaker (http://www.amazon.com/Chain-Breaker-Remove-Motorcycle-Heavy/dp/B00MVR1R7K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429266338&sr=8-1&keywords=415+chain+breaker)

If you want to really get a precise answer, go here: https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/chainlength.html (https://www.rbracing-rsr.com/chainlength.html)  That's what I use when I'm building a bike, and don't have anything I can measure yet.   8)
