Dropped. Doesn't look like a big deal, what do you think?

Today I dropped my bike. From a dead stop in the intersection, I rolled forward in 3rd gear leaning left. The rear tire spun under me and whipped the rear of the bike. This was right after I performed an oil change, my guess is I somehow got oil on the read tire edge. This was right outside my home, made this turn a million times, anyway...

Looking to replace a few components and would like some guidance.
  • grip end cap
  • shifter
I'm concerned about the housing. Looking at it you can see obvious drop damage. My gut tells me it's built to withstand a single ultra low speed drop but I'd like to hear your input. I have included a series of 7 pics to show the damage. As you can see most of the damage was to my pride.

Please share your thoughts and suggestions (links) to replacement parts. :)

You need to look up Part#1021957, ASM-SHIFTER,FOOT and you may need to install a bushing... =/

When Brammo was around this was a $20 part, for the full assembly...

I had a shift lever that looks just like yours !!!!  The new lever comes WITHOUT the required bushing....  I was able to press the bushing out of the old and install into the new with perfect results....  You WILL need a press....

That sux I had something very similar happen to me on my Kawasaki ZR7 because of cold weather and having a rear racing tire.

Bushing looks like #24 #27, looks like a lotta trouble to replace a shift lever O_o'

Looks #23 is the shifter assembly

I bought the shifter via the official Victory part site. Just got an email saying it's on backorder. What do you think the odds are they're going to be able to mail me that shifter?

Have you tried to bend it back for the meantime?  Or maybe cut it off and weld it back on?

Aug 1 - ordered shifter
Aug 2 - Victory notified me the shifter was on back order
Aug 9 - Victory notified me the shifter was now shipped.
Aug 15 - part arrived. HURRAY!
