Ok, not to win an Empulse...but it does let us know teaser images are coming...

The thing that struck me is "over the next few weeks". Sounds like we won't get any pictures on the 18th...(just specs at least hopefully)?

Well Brammo did say specs on the 18th---next week!---and full reveal May 8th...bike on display...photos...webcast.
Now they have added that they will have some teaser images between now and the reveal...which should be fun.
We will get to see the 2012 Empulse RR the weekend before the production Empulse is revealed, since it will be racing at Infineon...but that won't tell us too much about the production model.
It would be nice to see the 2012 RR before the race....

Well the Facebook post mentions parts of the new Empulse...but that first clue points to a photo of the old bike...unless I am misunderstanding the clue..

They did say that seven images will be coming in over the next few weeks. So expect an image every two or three days. Perhaps the first one won't be until Monday or Tuesday.

There is a new image of the 2012 Empulse. Just have to dig a bit deeper.

All I see is the Brammo "We're Social" pin from twitter 5 days ago, just the brammo logo... I have searched all of Brammo Pinterest posts and found nothing. Would probably be easier if the snooty bastards at pinterest would finally send me an invite so I could login.

Man, I found an Enertia in the Empulse gallery, but no Empulse in either Enertia gallery.
Then, I thought I was being really smart and looked around Pompadour Bluff on google maps, but there aren't any pictures around there.
Oh well. Back to work

Actually I don't plan to enter the contest...just downloaded the image a couple of time because I thought I might post it here...but so far it seems more fun to get everybody looking for it...

The freaking photo was taken with an iPhone! Ha.
All my Enertia photos are from my iPhone...I kinda thought Brammo's photos would be from a high tech camera, but I guess these really are "spy" photos.

3) I think the tank is metal...but I could be wrong. The Enertia is fiberglass or composite...

Sometimes a bolt is just a bolt :)
I don't think that is large or strong enough for a fairing mount.
I think it is just a "lock/closure" point for the "tank"...something to hold that pretty metal? in place.

The clue photo is not on their Facebook page, but that is where the hunt begins. If you are searching Facebook for a photo of the new bike you won't find it. You have to read the clue and then know what you are searching Facebook for that isn't a picture of the new bike (and be able to recognize it from a thumbnail - unless you want to get popcorn and do their full family history slide show) and then once you find that you should be able to find the real clue...

OMG Finally!!! Looks like we are going to see a more radical change than I thought. At least the tank looks very different. I tried to take a shortcut through the photo gallery and there are no comments on that photo there, on either one.

And, this won't help you with the search, but they just posted a photo on their Facebook page that is essentially Clue Photo #1, but Photoshopped with multiple overlapping versions of itself so it is hard to tell what you are looking at. But, when you find the actual CP#1 then you will recognize it in the murky pixels...

This was on the Facebook page. Not sure what image hosting service they're talking about. (I'm not participating in the contest by the way).

I actually do NOT think it is Smugmug. The easy way to tell is by looking at the multiple album page - it shows when the last update to album occurred. Nothing newer than March - from the Long Beach motorcycle show. To be sure, I went and looked at that particular album, but didn't find anything that had rapid, off-the-line acceleration. Except my heart . . .

Wow. I'm so out of touch with social media. I've never heard of most of those photo sharing websites, including the one that had the clue. :(
I finally did find the picture (thanks Gavin), and was quite surprised to see what the picture was of. I noticed a lack of windshield... I wonder if it's optional, or if the photo was of an unfinished bike. I'm guessing that it's optional, since the Empulse was originally planned to have a cafe racer look.

The sample picture is the reflection of the iPhone taking a picture...
The clue photo is of the Empulse dash...very similar to the Enertia dash, but the speedo is a tach..

Parking lights, just like both of my motorcycles have always had. Isn't that the standard for US bikes? One click past steering lock is "steering lock plus lights are on" for visibility in emergency parking situations...

Aside: I don't think the full clue image should be posted here.
- It's more rewarding to see the image if you have to find it.
- Not having the full image will motivate people to play the game and look for the images.
- The image is pretty easy to find once sufficient clues are given.
- It's fun to hear the anguish of the people who have not found the image yet. :P
I liked the idea of showing part of the image, as it allows us to talk about some part of the image, while keeping the rest hidden so that there is still some motivation to find the images.
Let's keep it fun and mysterious for everybody. ;D

P is for "parking" lights, although if you park for a few hours with those on with an ICE vehicle, you would flatten the battery and need a jump start! I think that the 9 kWh battery can power those lights for quite a long time (but you may not be able to get home afterwards.)

This so reminds me of the movie Blade Runner when Deckard investigates a picture by using a machine to see further and further into the picture image for clues. It certainly does look like Brian.
I like the idea of this contest to entertain people between now and May 8th. I don't have much time to search for images, but I am glad to see them posted here. The eventual winner has to be member of our forum.

I was trying to find the video clip from some British comedy where a special crimes unit of the police is using the "enhance!" feature to do some amazing (and silly) things, such as, seeing what is behind the person by looking in reflections of reflections, etc....

Those lame Hollywood movies deserve to get made fun of... you cant get something from nothing with images. Hollywood bugs me... Ever notice how all computers in these low budget, crap films make beeps and blips when actors are using them... the sound bits they add in are so f'ing lame. My god I just want to punch something right now.

Well I am an idiot...that P and light symbol is also on the Enertia Classic...it is the setting for Charging...
Perhaps for the 2012 bikes it will be for parking lock and lights as the new bikes are suppose to charge as soon as plugged in vs plugged in and key turn to P as it is now.

Wow indeed. I agree with EB: All that carbon fiber looks expensive. I wonder how much cheaper it would have been to use plastic, and what difference it would make in performance. There's no doubt that is look really very nice, though!

Given that I have virtually no time on my hands, and that I'm not on any social media other than twitter, would anyone take exception to posting all these teaser pics after the contest is over?

I think that would a great idea. It would be nice to have all the images available together. And if Gavin can find that magic software, we should have an awesome rotating bike, in 3D and with surround sound! (Ok, I may be over optimistic here...)
I suspect that the competition will go on until the reveal on the 8th. Also, since to win the competition you need to email them the link to the image, rather than the image itself, posting the full images before the competition is over should be okay (perhaps making a copy of the image, rather than direct linking would be best, to avoid giving the location away.)
The questions would be: when is it okay to post the image. Possible answers:
- Two days after the clue was announced.
- One week after the clue was announced.
- As soon as the next clue is announced.
- Some other time?
What do you think?

I think the hunt generates excitement going into the final round of their unveiling marketing ramp-up. Publishing their teaser images would deflate that just a bit so I think it is disrespectful towards their launch festivities to share things that they are reserving for just the dedicated fans...

I guess you'll just have to find the images your self or just wait for the big reveal on the 8th. (You could also Private Message somebody who has already found the images. I'm sure that if asked nicely, they might very well send you the links, or at the very least tell you how to get to the images in 3 simple steps. ;))

I'm not sure what that picture is supposed to be of either, but I agree that it's probably the radiator, just behind the front wheel.
I think that Brian said that the battery controller is under the bike, and the recharging system is on top. The logic being that you don't want any high voltage circuitry going on near you (specifically, near your groin!)

I have to say, I really liked the prototype design... I hope they didnt deviate too much from that design. The knee guards were a unique and very cool touch, looks like those are gone now. :-\ I wonder though, if we are just seeing pics of the R...

How curious.
Per Brammo's rules, to play in the Empulsive game, you can create a pinterest board called "Brammo" and pin all of the clues on to it.
Also, forums are not allowed to post links directly to the images.
However, if you get to one of those images, you will see:
"Repins: David L. Rodgers onto Brammo"
From there you can get to David L. Rodgers' board, titled "Brammo" and see all of the other images in the game. Furthermore, all of those images are linked to their original source, so unscrupulous players could simply wait for the first six clues to show up on Rodgers' page and then just beat him to the last clue to win.
The upside of this situation is that for those who don't have the time or the inclination to play, you can hit that pinterest board and see all of the lovely images without having to search for them.

I was wondering if someone would find that. At first it wouldn't let me pin the image from the original source, but, from what you're saying, that's exactly what it has done. Not sure if you can make a board private, but if I can't, just wait until the deadline to pin the remaining images.

That last clue is pretty mysterious. It says that something on the bike has two colored fabric/leather, and I agree that it is probably the seat, but are we looking towards the front of the back?
According to the info next to the image, the picture was take right next to Caldera Brewing Company. Perhaps that picture is of an on board ice chest! (Or perhaps Brammo's factory is near there...)

I think I'm going to update the forum rules to include something like:
You will be banned for suggesting any one of the following:
- that all you need is a 25 mile long extension cord
- that someone should put playing cards in the spokes of the wheels
- that your bike keeps going and going - ya get it? like that Duracell bunny? ahilk, ahilk
- that you need some kinda soundmaker so it sounds like ma Harley. But it will never have a soul like ma bike does

LOL - just saw it. You're from RPI? My best friend from high school almost flunked out of RPI. Instead, he graduated from it with a degree in "Communications." I told him it was like graduating from Harvard with a degree in HVAC servicing.

Yikes. Only one clue left.
The first clue was the hardest to find, with a couple of levels of indirection to get to the final image. If the final clue is going to be as easy as that last few, then the winner is probably going to be whoever gets wind of the clue first.

Hmmmm, well searching Instagram without a phone and app is hard...
it can be done...
the downside is I think Brammosays either put the wrong photo up....or Insta means something other than Instagram....
There is a photo put up that is 2 hours old (perfect timing), but is not of the Empulse.
