Bikes For Sale Or Auction / 2016 Victory Empulse TT - damaged engine
« on: August 19, 2021, 05:42:54 PM »
I found an auction of the Victory Empulse TT with a burned out electric motor. The lower battery module may also be damaged. A very good source of other undamaged spare parts.

Victory Empulse / Licence plate holder mod
« on: April 02, 2021, 08:22:02 PM »
We have a bigger license plate in our country than in the USA. I therefore had to modify the original holder. This modification took place by peeling off the red rear reflector, because it was covered by the holder of the Czech license plate. I will stick this red reflector on the additional holder, which will be attached under the new license plate holder. Furthermore, due to different regulations in our country, I had to change the color of the rear side reflectors from red to orange.

edit: finally I sticked the red reflector directly on the Czech license plate holder

I am very confused about the very high value of the tightening torque for the rear axle nut, which is given in the user and service manual for Victory Empulse TT.
The specified tightening torque is 70 ft lbs (95 Nm).  :o
This is almost twice as much as stated in the manuals for Brammo Empulse R or Brammo Enertia+ (40 ft lbs (55 Nm)) !!!

Am I correctly assuming that the manual for Victory Empulse TT contains an incorrect tightening torque value?

Brammo Empulse / Defective motor temperature sensor
« on: March 10, 2021, 05:28:25 PM »
If the temperature sensor inside the motor fails, it is almost impossible to replace it with a new one.
This sensor is encapsulated in the insulation of the stator winding, as can be seen from the photo.

Brammo Empulse / Metal chips in gear oil
« on: March 10, 2021, 05:13:09 PM »
I may have already figured out the real cause of the metal chips, which almost always appear in the transmission oil when it is changed.

Jos Velthoven removed the clutch cover and noticed that a extra metal plate is screwed inside the gearbox, probably to prevent oil from leaking into the air hose.
And the gear wheel on the clutch shaft (which moves slightly axially during gear shifting) collides with this metal plate!

I found by chance these wonderful R&G Racing aero crash protectors designed specifically for Brammo Empulse.  :)

I am ordering them for my Victory Empulse TT right now.  8)

Brammo Enertia Servicing / horn and parking lights sometimes do not work
« on: December 21, 2020, 02:26:09 PM »
Lately, it happens to my Brammo Enertia Plus that the horn doesn't work. It is mainly when the weather is cold and humid.

Also, parking lights sometimes do not work.

Does it happen to any of you too? Don't know which connector should be cleaned?

Brammo Enertia Servicing / SERVICE REQ'D S57
« on: July 22, 2019, 05:18:35 AM »
Hi,
my friend is in trouble, the following error appears on his Brammo Enertia Plus dashboard: SERVICE REQ'D S57
It will appear every time the battery is charged, when the motorcycle is slowly moving. Then the error disappears.
I read Brammo Enertia manual and it means Sevcon fault - 0x45ca Motor high voltage.
Have you any of you solved it?

Brammo Enertia Plus / System Fault B6 - BMS Not Communicating
« on: September 07, 2018, 02:36:13 AM »
Hello everyone,

Yesterday afternoon, when I was driving on my Brammo Enertia Plus (production year 2013, 8000 km on the speedometer), the B6 error message suddenly appeared on the display. Then I could not accelerate and the motorcycle stopped. Fortunately, after turning the ignition key off and on, the error message disappeared and I could go again. This happened to me twice during yesterday afternoon with two different rides. Subsequently, the mistake did not appear even when driving last night or this morning.

I suspect there is some bad contact in the BMS cable between the battery and the VCU. I'm going to remove the top cover over the battery and clear the cable contacts.

I still noticed a strange thing: before the ride, during which the error message first appeared, I charged the battery at 100%. During charging, it was not possible to switch to a screen where battery balance details can be viewed. I held the gray button on the right side of the handlebar for more than 7 seconds, but the information on the display did not change.

Do you have someone with this error and its removal of some experience?
